missing out
I've Been Missing Out on a Lot of Things
Lately, it feels like time has been slipping through my fingers, quietly and quickly. While I’ve been busy with routines, responsibilities, and distractions, the world has kept moving without waiting for me to catch up.
I scroll through photos of friends laughing together, attending events I said "maybe next time" to. I see people exploring places I've always dreamed of visiting, achieving goals I once set for myself. And I wonder—when did I start standing still?
It’s not just about the big things. It’s the little moments too: the sunsets I didn’t notice, the calls I didn’t return, the hobbies I let gather dust. I used to find joy in these simple things, but somewhere along the way, life got louder, and I stopped listening.
But maybe missing out is also a reminder. A quiet nudge that life is meant to be lived—not just watched from the sidelines. It's not too late to start showing up again—for experiences, for people, for myself.
I’ve been missing out on a lot of things… but I don’t have to keep doing so.
