okay, so for S3 i think we could possibly realistically get:

he's giving her a ride home

one of them extends a thanksgiving invitation of some kind

she's the first person he ends up coming clean to about the divorce

early in the season we'll get a physical extension of comfort from langdon to mel that isn't necessarily rejected, but is awkward. there will be another one in the last 3 episodes that flips that moment around

there's def gonna be a second wife joke and the camera will go to mel for the next scene

i still see a story developing in the background via gossip

maybe langdon treating a patient where some best friend brings in someone w/ an injury/illness and the vibes are Weird

imo those two are leaving the hospital together in some way for s3, and i think that's the most explicit thing we'd see.
