“Yeah.. Maybe because usually when other people ask how you are.. They don’t really want to hear the truth.”

“It’s like people prefer hearing lies than hearing the truth.”

“You got all day?” Kyle joked as he shrugged his shoulders. “I work in a mail room at the police station, live at home with my father and currently have no love life or good friends so I guess that makes me win the boring title.” He admitted as he turned his head over towards her, chuckling. “I guess opposites do attract.” He walked inside her place, letting a smile come along his face when he saw her dogs. 

“I hope you don’t mind my dogs, they really love getting to know others,” Addison said with a chuckle as they began jumping a bit on his legs. Changing into her bikini really quick, she tugged on shorts and a t-shirt over before walking back out. “This is how I see it. You have a job, you’re living at home saving money, you’re kind and extremely attractive so it shouldn’t be a problem making friends or getting out there,” she said with a smile. “Plus, you can even test out your flirting skills out on me...and I will flirt back.”

“I never thought that I would cut my hair off either, but I feel so good about it.”

“What kind of a dog would you get?”

Ivy shrugged, not elaborating. “Well, that’s good. Sounds like a good balance.”

“It is a good balance. What have you been up to these days?”

“Sounds annoying though…”

“The acting classes I go to during the weekends keep me entertained.”

“Good.. The last time we saw each other was nice.”

“It was quite nice wasn’t it,” Addison smirked. “Maybe we can do that again sometime but somewhere different.”

“I’ll have to keep that in mind and know that I don’t doubt that for a minute.” Kyle chuckled as he shoved his hands into his pockets, turning his head to look over at her. “I’m hands down the most boring person in town.”

“Oh yeah? Tell me what makes you so boring then,” Addison said with slight challenge and interest and a raised brow. “Also, if you think you’re so boring and I’m outgoing, don’t opposites attract?” She said more playfully with a smile, but she was definitely attracted to him. It didn’t take long to get to her flat and she lead him inside with her dogs welcoming them in.

“You are quite welcome!” Elise told her with a smile. “ I might be thinking of doing the same, but I’m not sure yet.” 

“You would look so cute with short hair and I’m sure you could pull it off.”

“Because you are going to get me in trouble. I feel it.” Kyle teased as he nodded his head, following her towards the flat. “Alright.” He said as she shoved his hands into his pockets as he shrugged his shoulders. “Truthfully, nothing.”

“I find it kind of exhilarating. Plus, getting in trouble with me is always fun,” Addison teased with a playful wink as they walked along beside each other. “Nothing?” She questioned with raised eyebrows. “Well...what do you enjoy doing in your free time?”

“Well darling, your drinking partner has arrived!” Addison grinned and took a bigger sip from her drink.

“I’ve been fine.” Ivy said, shrugging as she looked at Addy. “Uh, what about you?”

“Only fine?” Addison questioned with a raised eyebrow before shrugging it off. “I’ve been doing well, thanks. Just working my ass off and having fun while I still can.”
