They had agreed to a valentine’s day weekend, as Thomas knew he’d be at work all day Monday. Sure it wasn’t the appropriate day, but- I mean it was the thought that counts right? He wanted to make her feel appreciated- special even. Addy deserved that. The apartment, though never really messy, was cleaned to a pristine level. There were candles scattered throughout, lit and setting an comforting glow to the room. Two wine classes settled on the table, a bottle of blood infused wine chilling in the fridge, and he was trying his hardest to keep his outfit clean as he worked through the kitchen.Â
When the doorbell rang, the hand towel naturally went over his sholder, resting there like it was part of the outfit. He made his way over to the door, snagging the flowers he had left intentionally on the hallway table along his way. Presenting them first, he smiled the sweetest grin he could muster. “Happy Valentines day, Addy.” @adelaide-whitlock
Normally, she hated Valentine’s Day. Mostly because she knew how commercialized it was. Not only that, but you know...she was usually single. It wasn’t fun to be alone on a holiday all about love. She normally would just spend the day shopping or at a spa or anything to keep her mind off of the day. But that wasn’t the case this year. This year, she had a date. Or a date before the actual day. She would have done this whenever Thomas wanted. She knew she was well gone on him. There was no point in pretending she wasn’t. He had sent a car, taking her to his place.Â
She fidgeted with her dress as she waited for the door to open, taking a deep breath. She hoped her present tucked in her purse wasn’t too much. She knew it was, really. She just hopped that it wouldn’t be a bad kind of too much. She couldn’t help the smile on her face when the door opened, taking the flowers. “Happy Valentines Day,” she said before leaning up to kiss Tommy’s cheek. “These flowers are beautiful. You know how to make a girl feel special.”Â
