ukiyoeunoia:
it’s as if her own issues have flown out the window at the sound of the familiar voice. she curses under her breath in korean and spins around, leaning her elbow against her knee as he torso twists to look at her superior. “ade- what are you doing out here?” she wipes at her face with the end of her very long sweater sleeve. the other is right: nothing about the town has been safe lately, and choosing to be out with the wolves probably isn’t the wisest of ideas. she’s only been in town for a few moons, but this one is more intense than the last - and the spirits constantly in rotation around her have made it very clear. now, though, their voices are muffled by the liquid courage running through her bloodstream.
the tears subside and brows furrow. “you shouldn’t be out here, there are wolves everywhere.”
“I saw you from the window of my place,” Adelaide offered simply to answer what she was doing out there. She couldn’t leave a fellow banshee to sit in danger if she knew about it. In fact the voices had guided her to the window without her even realizing it at first. They were so natural to her that it just happened which was not the case for her employee and hopefully new friend. “Loretta, dear,” Adelaide prompted after the other had exclaimed about the wolves and why she shouldn’t be out here. “That means you shouldn’t be out here either. Will you come to my place and stay for the night? It would mean the world if I knew you were safe and sound.”
