          [ NOT  THAT  SHE’D  ADMIT  IT ]  but  becoming  exactly  what  arthur  sinclair  intended  for  her  to  become.  it  something  she  works  very  hard  ( everyday )  to  not  be.  and  while  it’s  become  easier  recently,  it’s  still  hard  NOT  to  fall  into  old  habits  that  he  practically  programmed  into  her.

it’s  her  fear  for  obvious  reasons –-  she  doesn’t  want  to  be  a  monster.  especially  when  she  finds  it  so  easy  to  just  be  exactly  that.

               SALEM  HADN’T  TURNED  OUT  TO  BE  WHAT  HE  EXPECTED.  not  that  alec  really  expected  much.  when  kali  had  gotten  the  call  from  her  old  friend,  alec  had  no  problem  in  packing  up  and  rushing  over.  unfortunately,  alec  had  some  business  to  take  care  of  first.  the  two  were  used  to  being  s e p a r a t e d ,  but  neither  liked  the  idea.  he  had  helped  kali  get  everything  in  order  before  they  split  ways  for  two  weeks.  but  now  he  was  by  her  side  again  and  he  wasn’t  impressed  at  all  by  salem.  but  he  wouldn’t  complain,  not  when  kali’s  friend  asked  for  them  to  come.

walking  into  the  witch’s  brew  cafe,  alec  greeted  anyone  he  passed  with  a  nod  and  walked  straight  to  the  back  where  he  KNEW  his  witch  was  at.  “  hello,  darling.  ”  he  greeted  as  he  stepped  closer  to  her.  placing  a  kiss  on  her  forehead  before  leaning  down  and  pressing  his  own  forehead  against  hers.  it  was  his  usual  greeting  for  her.  it  always  seemed  to  calm  any  and  all  tension  he  held  from  the  day.  being  with  her  always  had  that  effect  on  him.

               WITH   E V E R Y T H I N G   GOING  ON,  it  really  was  no  surprise  that  the  witch  seemed  to  be  struggling  more  than  normal.  it  was  easy  to  act  like  everything  was  fine  around  everyone  else,  but  at  home  she  didn’t  need  to  pretend.  letting  her  walls  down,  it  wasn’t  long  before  she  found  herself  in  the  loving  embrace  of  her  wife.  the  smile  that  formed  as  her  wife  hugged  her  from  behind  was  the  first  real  smile  she  showed  all  day.  wrapping  her  arms  around  her  middle,  covering  noemi’s  arms,  lian  leaned  back  into  the  other  woman.  “  hi.  ”  she  spoke  softly.  not  really  wanting  to  break  peaceful  silence  she  had  grown  used  to  while  standing  in  their  shared  room.

tapping  a  finger  twice  on  emi’s  arm,  no  words  were  needed  for  the  hold  emi  had  over  her  to  loosen  just  enough  for  lian  to  turn  around  and  face  her  face.  hugging  her  tightly  and  just  allowing  herself  to  have  THIS  moment.  “  thank  you.  ”  she  whispered  softly  into  her  wife’s  neck,  but  still  didn’t  move  away.

               IT  WASN’T  SURPRISING–-  so  much  was  happening  in  salem.  there  was  no  avoiding  it.  things  were  getting  messy  and  hiding  from  it  was  no  longer  an  option.  not  that  the  witch  had  ever  even  tried.  but  after  the  incident,  when  she  returned  home  hurt,  she  was  trying  to  keep  her  distance  as  much  as  she  could.  mainly  for  noah’s  sake.  sera  hated  to  worry  him  and  after  his  reaction  to   t h e   i n c i d e n t ,  she  really  didn’t  wanna  put  that  kind  of  concern  on  him  again.  but  she  SHOULD  have  known  better.  the  two  cared  too  much  to  not  worry  and  sera  knew  things  would  get  worse  before  they  got  better.

she  hadn’t  been  expecting  to  be  out,  with  noah,  and  have  the  city  to  got  into  a  panic.  the  witch  wasn’t  even  sure  what  triggered  it  this  time.  it  seemed  like  everyone  was  good  with   i g n o r i n g   everything  else  that  had  been  happening.  she  just  knew  everything  went  to  shit  and  everyone  who  didn’t  somehow  get  stuck  in  whatever  happened  at  city  hall,  was  now  rushing  around.  sera  was  separated  from  noah.  while  he  was  out  trying  to  find  anyone  in  need  of  help,  she  was  helping  with  triage  on  main  street.  but  the  people  of  salem  clearly  didn’t  handle  panic  very  well.  if  the  black-eye  she  was  now  sporting  was  anything  to  go  by.  she  casted  a  spell  to  stop  the  bleeding,  but  wasn’t  stressed  about  doing  anything  else  for  it.  in  fact,  she  forgot  about  it  until  she  was  finally  reunited  with  noah.  she  had  rushed  to  him,  quickly  checking  him  over.  asking  him  if  he  was  alright.  “  let  me–  ”  she  was  cut  off  by  him  voicing  his  own  concern.  reminding  her  of  the  slight  pain  around  her  eye.  “  –  oh!  ”  reaching  up  to  touch  her  eye  softly,  she  winced  slightly  before  shaking  her  head.  reaching  out  for  him.  “  it’s  nothing.  i  promise.  ”  her  voice  soft,  trying  to  ease  his  concern.

               RAYMOND  WAS  LEANED  OVER  THE  SINK,  TRYING  TO  WASH  THE  BLOOD  OFF  HIS  FACE.  the  twins  were  still  with  their  babysitter,  but  he  knew  they’d  be  home  soon  and  didn’t  want  to  scare  them.  hearing  a  knock  at  the  door  confused  him,  the  sitter  knew  they  were  allowed  to  walk  in  anytime.  “  come  in!  ”  he  called  out,  not  turning  away  from  the  sink.  it  was  too  quiet  to  be  the  kids  so  ray  turned  and  was  once  again  surprised  to  see  who  it  was.  but  then  he  remembered  that  he  offered  jude  to  come  over.  ollie  and  jax  had  been  begging  to  see  uncle  jude  for  far  too  long  now.  “  OH!  HEY!  ”  he  grinned  at  the  man,  reaching  for  a  towel  to  dry  his  face.  “  make  yourself  at  home.  ”  raymond  stated  like  he  always  does  for  jude.  grinning  like  nothing  was  wrong,  which  wasn’t  out  of  character  for  the  witch.  “  beer’s  in  the  fridge.  ”  he  offered.  “  jax  is  gonna  be  real  happy  you  made  it.  ”  which  was  true.  jax  took  after  jude  in  some  ways,  ray  wasn’t  blind.  he  knew  his  son  looked  up  to  jude.  it  made  him  happy  that  the  people  he  cared  about  meant  so  much  to  his  kids.
