“I apologize, I hadn’t mean to coddle you. You only look like you could use some help, perhaps something to drink.” She said softly, offering a glass of water.
“If I needed your help I would have asked.” Sharp eyes flicker to the glass of water. “I guess I don’t win in this situation,” She begins before a cough interrupts her and Adelaide hide her face in her elbow. “If I take the cup, I look like an imbecile for being rude. If I don’t take the cup, I still look like an imbecile for refusing your generosity.” She chuckles, scratching her brow and taking the cup gingerly. “Thank you.”
