Here’s how USA Men’s hockey has placed in the Olympics (to be fair about this, they’ve been in the Olympics since the 1920s, and they have a grand total of 2 gold medals, 8 silver, and 1 bronze. I’m going since the 1980s bc that was the last time they won a gold).

Here’s how they’ve placed in the IIHF since the 1980s.

USA Women’s is consistently one of the top two teams in the world. USA Men’s is consistently a team who can’t even place in the top three. Guess which one gets paid more and gets more benefits : )
