For all it’s life, Veniru has not hosted a Pokemon League like most of the other regions. There was no CHALLENGE for young trainers, no journey to embark on. In fact, Veniru used to look down on competitive battling back in the day. Pokemon owned as pets were meant to family, they said, not tools based for entertainment. Obviously, things have changed and owning Pokemon to battle has been more WIDELY EMBRACED since the modernization of Veniru. It is starting to become known that Pokemon actually ENJOY battling.
Lately, many people had noted how Pokemon and humans seem to bond together through BATTLING. After much debate, officials had decided to instill their very own LEAGUE in their region. Professor Acacia, a prodigy who ADVOCATED creating the League, has taken up the RESPONSIBILITY of building up the League and guiding hopefuls who are aiming to become the very first CHAMPION of their region. Now she’s looking for new Trainers to take up positions as the Gym Leaders, and seeking out particularly talented trainers to form the Elite Four.
Of course, there’s many people AGAINST the notion. There has been many disagreements; kids should not capture Pokemon and have them fight for their amusements, Pokemon should be used for FIGHTING, kids should stay with their FAMILY; their future should be geared towards incorporating their future family into a LARGER NETWORK. Many were not happy with the League going underway …
Once the League has been established, our young trainers will be given the OPPORTUNITY to form GREAT BONDS with all of Veniru’s Pokemon through love and teamwork and battle! And through these bonds, they can master the beauty of POKEMON BATTLES, gaining strength through challenge and friendships.

When roleplaying on Tumblr, please tag your verse-related posts as V; VENIRU POKEMON LEAGUE (caps not necessary lol).

Unless they’re protagonists and/or can be fitted into this AU (Lillie for example), no canon Pokemon characters can join. They can feel free to visit the region, but they cannot join or take on the League. We can’t have duplicates here, sorry !!
You can join, obviously, but your muses cannot begin their journey just yet. The League is still looking for Gym Leaders, so that’s a thing. If you want your muse to be a gym leader, please feel free to apply for it ( gym leaders on the higher end will need some competitive battling experience, so we may have to test you if this is the case )
