it’s about time!!

i’m dropping this blog that i’ve had for near 6 years and starting fresh! revised tagging (everything is going to be tagged as i need it to be tagged - you’ll see), categorization in my own way, everything like that.

it’s still being worked on, so the tags page will be updated as i get more stuff on the blog, but pretty much everything else is exactly the same. it’s a personal blog with a serving of video games, shows, art, aesthetic, etc.

three more notable memories from that high school: 1) sophomore year, i drew a very ~promiscuous~ greek god of my own creation for english class when we read Mythology, and the same principal that had found the hentai on the computer had to come to me and tell me that EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE BEST ARTWORK OF THE CLASS they couldn’t hang it up with the other drawings 

2) the same year as the Hentai Incident i’d left a sketchbook that had (very crudely drawn, ameteur) yaoi drawn in it on my desk in a different english class and it disappeared. i still don’t know where it went. i don’t know who saw it. it was the worst scare of my high school years. i couldn’t look my english teacher in the face

3) same year as hentai incident - i finally tried out for the talent show and when it was my turn to sing and audition (”hey soul sister” by train), i’d not only forgotten the words but i had a panic attack and almost passed out on the spot. when i got home i immediately passed out

the story about hentai on the school computers?? sure

okay so bit of backstory: this school was all-around tech oriented, like almost all of the classes had computers. everyone had little network profiles and folders on computers to save their classwork in so it was all in one place. if you were in graphic design, your art or photography went here, engineering documents, etc.

this was also around the time that anime was kind of starting to be “mainstream”, and all of the anime nerds knew each other, so it was this clique of students of all four grades. a lot of the seniors were big into nfsw stuff and would exchange fanfic and hentai sites, some of them even drawing fan art and writing fanfic and sharing it (which is, you know, kind of weird to me now because they’re in a group of underclassmen, but whatever)

there was this chain of anime nerds and people who didn’t really like anime who would just share shit. so i got to learn A LOT. so they’d usually have like folders of art or flash drives of the shit.

to this day i’m not sure if it was an accident or on purpose, and i don’t know who it was, but someone decided to leave hentai in their school folders.

one day the principal actually had to get on the intercom and explain that they found porn in one of the student profiles, and it was this big purge of like all the student files (staff have access to all the files, so it was easy for them to find it, it’s not like they’re buried anywhere). SHE HAD TO ANNOUNCE THIS. 

soon after, she got in contact with the teacher who was the leader of our anime club for the past few years because it was apparently ~anime porn~ and she figured that all anime was like that, so anime club that year was a no-go. we had to reform under ‘video game and comic book appreciation’, and anime was pretty much taboo that entire year. i couldn’t bring manga to school without teachers side-eyeing me.

the only point of reference i have for D&D is from back in high school (like junior year??) when my anime club got told we couldnt be an ‘anime club’ after someone found hentai on the school computers (THAT’S A LONG STORY) and so we took up the moniker of ‘video game and comic book appreciation’, and the teacher that was the overseer of the club told us we should play D&D and so we did and me and my brother made twin elves
