The rigging groaned as the ship began to slow her speed into the waiting arms of the harbour. Orders were shouted about the salt and spray, bells ringing from the shore to let them know where to go. High, high upon the mast waved two flags; one of orange and black, a phoenix emblazoned on itās side, and the other of silver and green, likewise adorned with two crossed hammers behind an anchor. Knowing the significance of this particular voyage, the old Kul Tiran, silver locks whipping in the air, watched with a warm smile on his face. The voyage had been hard and there had been many delays, but nothing had slowed down the resolve of his nephew who now stood upon the rails, bare of feet and bare to the waist, sun glistening off sweat and ink stained skin. Though he hadnāt said as much, it was clear to anyone whoād come to know the displaced kinsman that he was finally relaxing. These men were not his men. This ship was not his ship. In the end, it didnāt matter. The Paladin had defended and worked alongside the crew as if they were his own, coming to earn the respect and admiration of those around him. While it was not uncommon to transport noblemen, it was rare to have a Duke who looked upon them as equals.
Swinging like a nimble ape from the line, Joseph was met with a flash of pearly whites as a smile split the dark, coarse beard of his nephew. Without hesitation, the older Kul Tiran walked forward to embrace the man heād come to see as a surrogate son in all the months since they had met.
āYācominā back tāsee me anā yāaunt, aincha?ā he asked in a rumbling bass, a gentle mist cresting his blue eyes.
Chuckling, Vladimir pat the much larger man on the back. āNow donāt be gettinā all sentimental on me now, old man,ā he chided warmly, taking a step back to meet the manās face with a cock-eyed grin, āDid you think Ed and I invited you on this little excursion just for the fishing? Adhelin is expecting us both in Braemar. You havenāt seen Kenna since she was born. I think a little quality time with her grandfather is overdue.ā
Surprise was clear on the Josephās face as he processed what the Duke had just said. āBut yāauntā¦.ā
āAuntie Eileen will be here in about a week,ā he replied, still grinning like an asshole. āWe both felt you needed a little vacation. Sheās been ready to kill you since you randomly decided to retire on her. Having you underfoot and making more and more dishes has driven her to the edge. She was just about begging me to take you.ā
A deep, rumbling laugh escaped the old farrierās mouth, his ample torso jiggling in turn. āAye, I can see āow she might be gettinā tāthat point. Anā I āave put on a pound or two.ā Grinning, he pat his stomach as if to make the point.
āMore than two,ā Vladimir teased, āAnd Auntie is worried about you mind getting as flabby as your behind lately. You two will come stay in Braemar with us for a few weeks while I get some affaires settled, and then Iāll come back with you to Boralus to work with Edward for a couple weeks.ā
āAye, anā āowās yālitāle Ā wife takinā alll yātravel. Yāave responsibilites at āome, after all,ā Joseph remarked carefully, watching his nephewās expression for that hint that heād crossed a line. Though heād come to know Vladimir, he was still wary of the younger manās temper, knowing the imbuement to his armour being tied to emotions.
āI think Adhelin is enjoying it,ā he shrugged nonchalantly, āItās helping the Faircrest name and bringing business to both the Faircrests and Braemar, which is what she wanted. Braemar was always just seen as a military training sight due to almost nothing being able to be grown up in the mountains, and most of the mines have been stripped bare at this point. Now people are coming for rare and exotic antiquities, enjoying the safety the town provides and knowing the discretion of their transactions are as important to them as they are to us. Hell, I heard Edwardās considering branching out and setting up a caravan outpost in Braemar now to help expand business⦠Especially with how dangerous sea travel has become lately. Besides, any excuse I can get for Adhelin to miss me for a bit just increases the chance sheāll jump my bones when I get home.ā
Covering his face with a meaty palm at his nephewās oversharing with that last bit, Joseph just sigh. āI cannae say I was needinā tāear that.ā
Laughing, Vladimir walked off towards the cabin, heading off to get changed back into armour.Ā āMaybe not, but it made the perfect segue to tell you sheās pregnant again!ā he called behind himself, ducking into the hold and leaving the dumbfounded Kul Tiran grinning from ear to ear at the thought of another baby to dote over.

That's right, baby #2 is on the way!!
I was wondering if you could describe the current state of Addyās affairs ā political, social, personal. Asking for a friend.
Hmm, Addyās current state of affairs....
She has been helping her brother Kaidren prepare their familyās Duskwood properties for repurchase as many of the family has moved on with their own families now. Kaidren will be hosting a bid for purchase by the highest bidder.
This past fall she and Vladimir had their first child, a daughter, to which theyāve kept from the public eye and under heavy protection. If you know Adhelin and Vlad, they have their fair share of enemies.
She and Vlad currently reside in the Duchy of Braemar, northwest of Lakeshire in Redridge. The two frequent Stormwind time to time but are not otherwise engaged in much of the present day machinations of the capital, at least not on the forefront. Behind the scenes they are of course kept abreast of the current ongoings and gossip via briefings and reports provided by a diligent retinue of hired refugees.
They are currently trying for a second child, hoping for a son to preserve the Faircrest name.

The Villain
The bad guys. The mad scientists, the cruel executives, the evil witches and wizards, the corrupt politicians, the mortal aspects of pure evil, and, more often than not, the people (or otherwise) that instigate the conflict and the story. You are a very determined individual with a very strict set of rules. Your mind is mostly thinking about how you can reach your goals and conquer your ambitions. You are often described as cunning and intelligent by the few who stick by your side. You like sticking to the shadows and observing, rather than interacting and taking action.
Your Result: The Tragic Hero
A tragic hero is a literary character who makes a judgment error that inevitably leads to his/her own destruction. You give too much and donāt get very much back, usually because you do things out of the goodness of your heart. You always seem to have good intentions and you often carry the burden of others on your shoulders. You have a very high sense of empathy and you tend to be very secretive about yourself. You have such a big heart and others value your friendship and see you as one of a kind. Youāre special to those who are close to you and they care about you dearly.

OOC: Message from the WriterāIām engaged!
Happy New Year! Wooo! I hope everyone had an awesome holiday and starting on the right foot for 2019. It has been a wild year going into 2019. My apologies for lack of participation in World of Warcraft. Iāve been busy working full time and attending nursing school. Ā Which kept me from planning and hosting events for the guild, The Obsidian Conclave (formally known as The Golden Odyssey). Donāt worry weāre still around. We will be making a comeback with a new campaign, more social interaction with the community, and so much more! This is going to take time. Please be patient.
I also have delightful news. Iām engaged to the most loving man, Mike the creator of @zeronexfenris. Ahhh! Iām so happy to have found my second half. Mike sparked an indescribable connection I never knew existed. He was the one. I love this wonderful man. Weāre set to marry April 11, 2020.
We celebrated our engagement in Honolulu, Hawaii. Hereās a photo from our adventures! Yaāll keep writing, creating and have fun! Donāt stop dreaming! Ā - Cat/Moni
So much love to you both, congrats! Can we do an in-game wedding unless Mike is getting me a discount on flights lol
Came for the Lulz, stayed for the amazing writing and incredible friendship. Super blessed to have you in my life.
Damn straight, woman! Thereās a reason weāre compatible and Iām dead lucky to have you in my life.

Came for the _______. Stayed for the _______.
Tell me why you followed my blog and what made you stay (if itās two different things of course!)
Update
So I've been noticeably vacant but I've never been far away. I've been writing for Addy for the past 4yrs straight and with the fallout of BFA (though I have enjoyed it personally) mixed with RL obligations I just haven't felt compelled to be a GM or writing for one of my favorite creations. That old saying 'when fun becomes unfun it's time to make a change', and I am. For the last month or so I have dabbled with a few of my other geared 120s to see what clicked and I found one. So for the time being I am pressing 'pause' on Addy and HH because their stories are still not over. This will give Adhelin and Vladimir time to raise their family and work through other projects before we bring them back into play on the regular. Tumblrs will remain and we will continue to write on the side while we explore other adventures for the time being.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone. Keep safe, drink responsibly!
More people should be like you. People giving you shit over a stupid game. Like they're just strangers online, not your buddies. It's just a guild. They need to stop being so butt hurt because you aren't friends with people on an online game. Fuck those losers. They aren't worth your time :)
Nobody is a loser. It's fine if people are curious, there are just better ways to get answers than anonymously asking passive aggressive questions. If you want to know what's really going on, at least from my perspective, then message me on discord or in-game or over tumblr chat. I've got nothing to hide nor anything to be ashamed of, so please feel free to reach out any time :)
"There have been more than a few whispers going around that you and your husband are more than "friendly" with a certain Magister of yours. Have you no shame?"
"This coming from someone who puts more than a second thought into whispers and rumors. It's people like you that keep that rumor mill going. Kudos to you!"
Miss Minties! Have you ever written about the life of the people in holt lands? Are there peasants? A market? How do they see your digi person? Has that changed over time?
You know I had put more thought into creating the past of the Holt family and who the current generation is than I did the npc commoners whom work our lands. Yes there is a market and a small port in Dirae but most of our other lands are close enough to a town that it makes more sense to just do that. I suppose many of the commoners view this generation of Holts as silver spoon fed assholes but I like to believe that their opinions of us have changed for the better as we have all aged and grown over the years.
Word on the cobble stone streets was, Adhelin could not conceive due to supernatural complications. Care to comment? Is this all hearsay?
Supernatural complications? In the beginning of her story I dabbled in the thought of the old wives tale that denizens of Duskwood had poor conception rates. That was really just a way to continue to write as an assassin. I mean it's hard to be a mother and a killer. But to answer your question it was really just heresy as there was no supporting facts or events that would lead to supernatural causes. Then again she hasn't lived in duskwood for a few years *shrug*
