I found this fanart on one of my old flash drives. And still - after all this time, I think it's a really, really nice piece of work.
It's subdued, there's nothing "crazy" about it, but… it can tell so many fascinating stories. Well… how did this happen? Who initiated it? Is this after the arc or during? After Ichigo and Grimmjow's fight, or maybe something completely different happened? Why does Ichigo look so broken? Does Grimmjow trust him so much that he sleeps next to him? What really happened there? Does Kurosaki have any remorse? It looks like it, but does he regret it? I guess not, because he stayed next to Grimmjow? Maybe he's protecting him? Nothing is happening outside the window, it's calm - otherwise Espada wouldn't sleep - so can we assume that there is no war (anymore)? Is Grimmjow sleeping or pretending? There are bars on the window… maybe they are in Las Noches prison for their affair, i.e. betrayal? It is the source of so many interesting stories. If this is their first night like this, will it make a difference? Will there be more nights, days, moments? Will there be feelings? Or does one love the other? Or is he hiding his feelings? Will one of them abandon his life and start living in the other's world? Is it a snippet of a moment from the beginning, middle or end of the story? Or maybe this is where it all ends or begins?Maybe Ichigo doesn't regret it, but he does worry? Does he look scared? Maybe Grimmjow is pretending to sleep because he's worried? Are they afraid of something? Someone?
My brain is about to die. That's why I love this fanart so much.
Disclaimer - I don't know who created the fanart. I found it on one of my old pendrives with stuff from various anime, etc. I looked for it on the Internet, but I can't find it. If you know the author and source, let me know! I will add information to the post.
