February 12th
Koga walked up to his locker to grab a water bottle he forgot to bring with him to lunch. The second he unlocked it, he found a small pink colored letter that caught his eye immediately.
âThe hell⌠what is this?â Despite the growl in his voice, he was curious and didnât decide to ignore it. Grabbing the letter out of his locker and turning it around to see who sent it to him.
From: Anonymous To: Koga Oogami
âWhat the fuck?â He muttered to himself in confusion. After a while he realized that this was probably an early valentines day card. God, how annoying. He wasnât going to take any love confession unless it was from⌠Wait.
Thereâs no way Adonis couldâve written this, right? He mentally argued with himself. No way in hell would Adonis confess, hell, even like him. Hopeful thinking is getting the best of him for sure.
Despite that, he had a small minuscule amount of hope that somehow Adonis, his crush heâs been hesitant on confessing to, actually confessed through this letter, no matter how odd it may be.
Without a second thought he teared the top of the letter open, still careful as to not tear the actual card and began hastily reading.
âDear Oogami,â Off to a promising start. âIâd like to thank you for deciding to open this letter despite your busy schedule, you are very hard working and I admire you for that. I think about you a lot and I am not sure if you return the feeling. Despite that, I hope you know I care about you a lot. From your secret valentine.â
He stood still for a moment, not sure what to make of it. Sure it looked like Adonisâ handwriting, and his âanonymous admirerâ used his last name instead of Koga which no one did except for Adonis, and it just seemed exactly like something Adonis would say, but how could he be so sure?
What if Rei was pulling a prank on him? It would be sick and heâd forever be pissed at him for getting his hopes up but maybe heâd do that⌠or heâs just trying to find a reason to why it couldnât be Adonis.
âArgh, fuck this! Too complicated!â He groaned and slammed his locker shut and locked it, still keeping the letter in his pocket.
â⌠and then I found some love confession in my locker, can you believe that?â Sitting on the other side of the table Adonis nodded taking a bite out of his sandwich they just bought. âWell, I think that youâre very admirable so I donât think itâs too odd you get a letter around Valentines day.â
Did Koga not like the confession? He had wanted to test the waters before heâd actually use all his courage to confess to Koga face-to-face. But it seemed like Koga didnât like that, he might have to retreat.
For some reason unbeknownst to Adonis, he asked, âWell⌠do you know who itâs from?â he covered his face with his free hand being scared that he would reveal something by just his facial expressions.
Well fuck, Koga couldnât just tell the other boy that he thought it was him, right? Itâd be too embarrassing if he denied and he had act like it was a joke. The Koga Oogami could never hurt his own pride like that.
âUhâŚâ He started, trying to come up with something that wasnât I really hope it was you. âI dunno⌠probably just some prank someone pulled on me. Not that I care, or whatever.â He picked up his own sandwich and took a bite out of it, hopefully itâll take him a while to chew and swallow so that he didnât have to actually tell Adonis anything.
The other boy lowered his gaze to his food. âOh, I seeâŚâ He hoped that he didnât sound too disappointed.
Quickly changing the subject, Koga asked, âWhat âbout you? Get any letters?â
He shook his head. âNo, but I got a few chocolate bars.â
âWhat?! Didnât know you were so popular. What, these were all from fans?â
âOh no, all of them were from Rei and some of my classmates.â âHmph, stupid. But yeah, you deserve it.â
Adonis smiled at him and he felt his face heat up, undoubtedly blushing.
âI mean, like⌠youâve been working hard. So, like⌠you donât have to look at me like that!â He cried out, getting a few stares from the customers outside.
âOh I apologize.â âNah itâs fine.â He sighed, scratching his head and looking down at his half finished sandwich and then looking over at Adonisâ and seeing only the end of the sandwich left.
âYou gonna eat that?â He remarked sarcastically.
âUm, yes, but do you want it? Iâm sorry, I ate most of it.â âI was jokinâ.â âOh, right, sorry.â
Damn Adonis and his kind nature.
February 13th
âOkay where the fuck is Rei.â Koga snarled as he held a box filled with chocolate.
âWoah, whatâs wrong with you?â âSomeone keeps giving me these damn presents and I donât fucking appreciate it! Tell Rei to quit it before I kill him myself!â
Kaoru frowned. âWhat? Are you not just getting these from someone?â âYou want me to believe Adonis is sending these?â
Kaoru looked offended as he put his hand on his chest.
âI didnât even say that, thatâs on you!â
Rei suddenly peeked out behind the curtain that Koga was standing next to and let out a noise so high pitched he didnât believe it himself.
âJesus fucking Christ what are you doinâ behind the curtain?â Rei chuckled, âKukuku~ trying to banish me by saying that name? How rude.â
âIâm gonna shove a pole up your ass, shut your mouth.â
He groaned and crossed his arms looking directly at the dark haired man in front of him.
âOkay, can you cut the bullshit and stop sending me these gifts and try to trick me into thinking itâs Adonis?â
âThe⌠what?â
Koga didnât like how honestly clueless Rei seemed to be at his question. Isnât he supposed to be an all-knowing creature of the night, or whatever?
âDonât play dumb with me, asshole! Youâre⌠playing dumb right?â He asked hesitantly.
âIt seems that Doggy got confused and blames me for it.â
He didnât even have the energy to get mad at him for calling him doggy again. He just rolled his eyes and looked at the box filled with chocolate in his hands.
It was well wrapped, a brown box with a gold ribbon and some details on the box itself. Simple but fancy. Probably expensive too.
âWell⌠who sent this to me then?â He said waving the box around. Kaoru sighed as he stared at the young man who looked absolutely clueless.
âWhat about Adonis? You said you thought it was from him so go ask him!â
âI just told you, thereâs no way in hell that itâs Adonis!â
The blond raised his eyebrow. âWhy not?â
He stuttered. âCause⌠yknow he just⌠itâs just not possible! I know him better than you do so shut up!â With his is face red as could be, he left the practice room in a hurry.
âDoggy! What about practice?â âShut up! No one asked you!â And he shut the door.
Walking away from the room he mumbled something about them not knowing jackshit about his relationships and how theyâre annoyinâ him for no reason.
In the middle of his little fit of rage he bumped into Adonis.
âWh- Adonis, whatâre ya doinâ here?â Adonis frowned and hesitated on saying as if he was scared of saying something wrong.
âIâm here for⌠practice, did I misunderstand something?â
Koga mentally punched himself for the stupid question.
âYeah, no, that makes sense. Sorry I was just beinâ stupid.â âWhere are you going, Oogami?â
âEh? Well I was just uh, taking a breather⌠right.â
âAh, alright.â He stood there awkwardly trying to figure out if right now was a good moment to ask him about the box of chocolates. He figured heâd give it a shot.
âOh I see you got chocolates.â Koga scoffed.
âTsk, yeah. Still trying to figure out who sent me these, though.â âMaybe the culprit is closer to you than you think.â He said as clearly as his nervous body allowed him to.
âWhat, you think that bean sprout with glasses is suddenly gonna come up to me and confess? Bullshit.â
He dropped his shoulders as if heâs admitting to some crime and continued, âI mean, if itâs someone I tolerated. Or even liked I guess I wouldnât mind too much, yknow.â Koga had mumbled the word âlikeâ for obvious reasons. Obvious for himself, but probably not for Adonis.
Adonis wanted to respond but saw Kaoru walking up to them with an annoyed expression.
âIâd normally not care that you two bailed but Rei forced me to call you guys, donât make it harder for me!â He whined, waiting for the two younger idols to follow. Koga eventually gave in and followed him and Adonis followed.
After practice Koga and Adonis sat down on the floor, both of them out of breath.
âHere,â Adonis said after a while, handing him a water bottle. âThanks.â He took it and gulfed it down as fast as he could, noticing the corner of Adonisâ curving up into a smile.
âOogami, could I ask you something?â Koga wiped his mouth with sleeve and closed the cap of the bottle. âShoot.â
âAbout the chocolates you got. Do you dislike them?â Weird question, Koga thought, but heâs fine with answering questions that Adonis has, it made him feel useful.
âWouldnât say I dislike them⌠Iâm just, confused, yknow?â Adonis furrowed his eyebrows seemingly confused so Koga explained more before Adonis could say anything.
âI just wanna know who the person is cause Iâd know how to actually feel. On the other hand itâs kinda cute. Having a secret admirer. I dunnoâŚâ
He shrugged and looked over to Adonis who seemed deep in thought.
âYou find it cute?â
Koga laughed. âIs that really all you remember from what I told ya?â He smiled fondly. Adonis really was adorable. Not that heâd tell him that, ever. But he could always dream.
He patted him on his back and stood up, extending his hand towards Adonis to pull him up.
February 14th
âAh, the fated day.â Rei hummed. Only being a few steps behind Koga.
âYou really have to cut that shit out, yer creepinâ me out here.â Rei smiled and backed off a bit.
âSo, whatâs our Koga-kun going to do now that his âsecret admirerâ might confess today, hm?â
He groaned. âNothinâ. Iâm not gonna do shit, theyâll probably chicken out later so itâs whatever.â
Koga had talked to Adonis a lot yesterday but nothing seemed to have caught his attention that it for sure was Adonis that wrote the letter. Which, despite having said that he wouldnât get his hopes up, disappointed Koga a lot. He didnât even know what he expected.
âMhm, well, I will leave you to it. Have fun Doggy.â He yawned as he disappeared again. Fucking freak.
Koga opened his locker and not exactly surprised that it was another letter.
âGreat, another oneâŚâ He muttered, he wouldâve been in a better mood if he still had hope of it being Adonis.
He opened the letter and looked at what was written.
âOogami, please meet me at the practice room you were in yesterday. I would like to speak to you. From your secret valentine.â
It was shorter than the first one but to the point. He shrugged convincing himself to just go so he could get this over with.
Shoving the letter back in his pockets and closing the door, he stomped over to the meeting place.
Koga walked into the room pushing the door open. âHello? Be grateful I showed up and reveal yerself, will ya!â
âOogami, Iâm right here.â
â⌠What.â
Koga looked behind the door he slammed open and saw Adonis standing behind it, sandwiched between the door and the wall.
âWhat the fuck, what are you⌠wait are you⌠no, are ya waiting for someone?â
The taller boy made eye contact seemingly unfazed by the situation. âYes, I was waiting for you.â
âBut-â He stared at Adonis for a few seconds, he could usually tell how Adonis was feeling by his subtle facial expressions that most people wouldnât notice. Adonis was definitely nervous.
âSo⌠are you my⌠uh,â He felt embarrassed to actually say it out loud, in front of Adonis no less the guy he wanted to look cool to every single day.
âAh, yes. I was your âsecret valentineâ.â He cleared his throat and tried to stand up to straighten his back. âIâm sorry to have lied to you for the past 3 days, though it feels a bit weird to say it now since Iâve already done it.â
Koga had short-circuited. He really didnât know what to say.
âSo wait, you like me?â
âYes, Iâve liked you for a while now. Iâm really sorry if this-â
âOh my fucking god. Yer⌠yer confessing to me right now!â Koga cut him off accidentally stuck in his own thoughts.
Adonis felt his throat close up, as if heâd tried to swallow a still-beating heart and it had gotten stuck half-way.
âItâs okay if you donât like me back⌠I just thought to tell you. Because, well-â
Koga couldnât in a million years be happier than he is right now. Trying to hide his obvious grin with a blush that covers his whole face and the tips of his ears. He was sure he had to crouch down and hide his face between his knees to avoid the embarrassment.
âI like you⌠too.â He said, the words muffled by his hands trying to cover as much of his âdisgustingly redâ face as Koga would say.
Adonis was still very confused but was able to pick out that Koga wasnât mad or upset.
âIâm sorry Oogami, I didnât quite hear you.â
âI said that,â He dropped his hands to his side his face heated as he looked back at Adonis.
âI like you tooâŚâ
Fuck, this was embarrassing. So embarrassing. He wanted to dig a hole just so that he could escape but maybe it wasnât so bad after all, as Adonis stepped up to him and embraced him. Making him forget about his initial thought immediately.
Damn Adonis, confessing to him and making him feel like this. He hugged back.
