Daighila/ Fanzui Xiangfa - split 7" Got a bunch of awesome records today, but this one blew me away! A split between the Malaysian band Daighila and Chinese band Fanzui Xiangfa. Daighila play a crushing form pf darl emoviolence, kinda a mix between Louise Cyphre and Orchid (I know those references are "used", but it's extremely fitting!) while Fanzui Xiangfa do a more traditional hardcore, but in the sense of Brutal Knights and Career Suicide. I would STRONGLY encourage you to get a hold of this one, but if you need to take a listen; http://www.tenzenmen.com/artists/daighila/
Kjetil Møster/Staer - split LP
This split LP is cool in so many ways. First; my great friend Kristoph plays in the fantastic Staer, a band that creates off the chain groovy noise jazz, in the vein of Noxagt and MoHa!. This is their first physical recording, limited to 200 copies, put out by Mozart Kebab, Action Jazz and Drid Machine Records (non other than Kjetil Brandstal of Noxagt’s own label). Second; it’s one sided and clear. One side is screen printed by Kjetil, and the other side plays music two ways! The Kjetil Møster track plays from edge to middle, while the Staer track plays from label to middle. And off course, third; there are two juicy tracks hidden in those groves.
Stavanger (and Bergen) noise at its most brilliant!
V/A - We've Lost Beauty LP on File Thirteen Records Released in memory of Christopher Horn, a kid that only lived to be 16, in 1995. I really think this compilation sums up all the amazing aspects of the emo scene in the mid 90s. You have everything from pop-punk-ish emo to more of a emo-violence burst of aggression. It's such an amazing line-up, and all the songs are fantastic! With bands such as Cap'n jazz, Current, Thumbnail, Mohinder and Julia, this is nothing short of a great comp Track Listing 1.Franklin (Sulu’s Count) 2. Cap’n Jazz (Vision Giving Light Eyes Wide Might Split it's nearly too many near misses dear Mrs Hey Ma Do I Have to Choke on These I'm fine Right Here) 3. Assfactor 4 (Nemo) 4. Shroomunion (Calm) 5. Red Forty (No words) 6. Soophie Nun Squad (Something Pretty For Someone) 7. Thumbnail (Sore Throat) 8. Mohinder (In Memory Of A Stranger) 9. Current (And It Needs A…) 10. Plunger (Processional) Ordination of Aaron (New Face (Acoustic)) 11. Julia (Untitled) Download the comp here; http://www.mediafire.com/?neanz5fjvmj33b6
Anton Bordman - S/T 7" on Moganono Anton Bordman was a chaotic emo-violence band from Providence, RI. These guys were made up of only two members, a bassist and a drummer who also share vocal duties. This band makes so much noise for a two-piece, you won't believe your ears! Fast, complex, political and full of emotional distress, these dudes were simply amazing. They only released two 7" records in the short time they were around. The release featured here was their first outing, released on Moganonon Records. Extremely underrated and an amazing band! Love the artwork, and every song title is pasted onto the booklet itself, as well as the band's name on the cover has gotten the similar treatment. Their 2nd release, Where Do Dolls Originate? 7", came out on Clean Plate Records Check it out if you love stuff like Orchid, Jeromes Dream, Usrup Synaps, etc. Download the 7" here; http://www.mediafire.com/?jtl6yoijzbqe5i1
Ampere-collection Ok, first off; the pictures don’t do the collection justice. My computer is down, so I have to use my camera phone. I don't know how to flip the photos, so vear with me, ok? Second; this collection is just the music. Not the shirts, patches, buttons, posters, etc. I have laying around. I’ll write the versions and color, but I won’t add how limited, etc. It’s just too much work (but I might add it on later). If nothing else is stated, the vinyl is black. The start
So, after seeing my friend Henrik's tumblr about vinyl, I though "what the hell...". I love just surfing and discovering peoples blogs and tumblrs about vinyl and DIY in general. Seeing that I run a small distro and label with my friend Henrik, it kinda falls natural to be more than a little interested in vinyl and the scene we're a part of. I'll mostly post about emo, screamo, hardcore and whatnot, but I'll also post about records I listen to and love outside of those genres.
