So, I have decided to post an update. I haven't been on Tumblr in about a year, and haven't steadily been on it in about 3 years. Surprisingly, I still have over 1000 followers... But, anyway. On to the update. I am coming up on my 3 year anniversary with the love of my life. Her name is Casey, for those of you who don't know. I was scrolling through my blog and couldn't help but laugh at how much things have changed. We are adults now and are in a stable and committed relationship full of love and passion, and I couldn't imagine a better fit for me. We are engaged, and are currently saving up for our dream wedding. We have a dog named Jersey, who is a boxer/pit/shepherd/hound mix and he is beautiful and the best dog in the entire world. He is about 1 1/2 years old and is so calm and loving and is a very well rounded dog. He was rescued from San Antonio, TX, and when he first got to Maine, it was winter. His poor paws were so cold all the time, we had to get booties for him, and even then he would lay down on his side to get his paws off of the snow! I will post pictures afterwards of him. I am starting my first year at college in 2 days. I am 2 years late, but I finally feel I am mentally matured enough to go. I am studying to be a radiologic technician, and once I get my degree, I will go back to get my sonography certification. I was going to study pre-veterinary, but I changed my mind because sonography is something Ive always had in my head as something I would love to do. Annnnd, it makes nearly as much as a vet does with half the schooling (a fraction of the student loans, too). We are renting a home (no more apartments, thank god!) We have our own secluded lot with a little pond and lots of room for Jersey to run. We are excited to (hopefully) start our family soon. Of course, being lesbians, we are going to need some medical assistance with that... hahaha. We are also hoping to move south in the near future. My mom moved down to Mobile, AL, and we are thinking maybe Tennessee, seeing how that's where I was born. We dream to have farmland and some horses one day. I am very proud of where I am in life. I am happy and healthy and wouldn't want my life any other way.
