‘I’ve always been really, really aware of my insecurities - really, really aware. I never developed that thick skin that keeps you from letting things get to you.’
Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live, Maybe one of these days you can let the light in, Show me how big your brave is.
Taylor Swift leaving a doctor’s office in Beverly Hills, CA on March 22, 2016
“Live your life like you’re 80 looking back on your teenager years. You know if your dad calls you at eight in the morning and asks if you want to go out for breakfast. As a teenager you’re like no, I want to sleep. But as an eighty year old looking back you have that breakfast with your dad. It just little things like that, that helped me when I was a teenager in terms of making choices you won’t regret.”

Are they a night owl or an early bird?
meme
If given a choice, Ella is a night owl. She hates waking up early and only does it when she absolutely has to. Unfortunately, that’s most days, as it’s her responsibility to make breakfast for everyone in the family and feed the pets.

“They’re actual relationship goals.”
“Aren’t all happy endings?”
How many pillows and blankets do they have?
meme
Ella sleeps with two pillows and one semi-thin blanket. She likes having her head propped up a little, but not too much, so her pillows are soft. Despite it’s wearing down, her blanket is one her mother picked out when she was little. She can’t bear to part with it, and sometimes has trouble sleeping without it. There are little patches sewn into it in places where holes formed.
What is their concept of ‘healthy eating’ and, by their standards, do they eat healthily?
meme
For Ella, healthy eating consists of keeping a balance. Fruits, vegetables, and protein are all very important, and she tries to maintain them in her diet. Grains are also good, and while she respects anyone on a gluten free diet, she’s not sure she could pull it off. She’s mostly a healthy eater, but a sugar fiend, as well. She loves her pastries, and anything chocolate is always a good idea in her mind.
“A hint?” Alice repeated. “Alright, a hint it is!” She exclaimed, squeezing her eyes shut before turning abruptly on her heel, spinning around rapidly. She teetered slightly, but managed to keep her balance as she came to a halt. Alice spread her legs apart, in a wide stance to help, as she jabbed a finger forward. “We’re going there.” Alice nodded, though she found herself simply pointing at the wide expanse of land that they’d already been hiking through. “How’s that for a hint?” she grinned.
Ella watched her spin with amusement. When Alice pointed at their new direction, Ella found herself shaking her head and laughing. “Oh, Alice.” Ella took the hair tie resting around her wrist and pulled her hair up into a high ponytail. She started their hike back, walking backwards for a minute to check on Alice. Smirking, she asked, “Are you coming?”
“Nonsense!” Alice grinned. “We’re right here!” She gave the blonde a firm nod of her head before tilting it back, eyes fixing themselves on the lazy clouds as they moved across the wide expanse of blue. “We’re not lost at all, we’re simply on a new adventure.”
“Alice, dear, you know I love your positive spirit, but can I at least get a little hint as to where we’re going?” Ella loved hanging out with Alice. Yes, she was a little strange, but life was certainly a little more interesting with her around. She noticed Alice’s gaze and followed suit, smiling as she looked back at her. “Well, at least it’s sunny. Lost is always better with good weather.”
Quietly and absentmindedly, Belle wheeled and walked around the grocery store, not in any rush to make her way to the cash register. She had everything on her list currently in her basket, but she had time to kill before she’d need to make her way back to the Ashman mansion. Spotting the magazine shelves and small display of books, Belle made a beeline for it. She tended to prefer reading on her Kindle now, but that didn’t stop her from buying physical copies of books. Belle picked up each one and read the synopsis, mentally noting which ones to get off Amazon or buy right now.
As she made her way to the raunchy Harlequin romances however, she didn’t bother to do more than skim the synopsis, focusing more on the cover and title. Most of them were the same in Belle’s opinion, but she had a secret guilty pleasure for the genre when she wanted mindless drivel. Just as she was about to pick up one that looked to have some adventure elements, her fingers brushed someone else’s. They were reaching for the same thing and she immediately froze with both shock and shame.
Glancing nervously up at the person, Belle chuckled and pushed it towards them. “Can’t get enough of those rugged devils with hearts of gold, huh?” she joked lamely. “Me personally I usually find the ebooks that try to defy the tropes of the genre to be more entertaining.”
Ella always stopped at the magazine rack before she finished with the groceries. It was nice to take a moment for herself while she did her chores, and it always gave her a chance to think if she forgot something before she left. She didn’t pay much attention to the other person scanning the rack while she was there. Usually she flipped through a fashion magazine, one that featured gowns and dresses, the type of subscription they didn’t receive at home. But today, her eyes drifted to the romance novels. She always thought it was a little funny that these were the books grocery stores liked to stock. Her stepsisters couldn’t get enough of them, that’s for sure.
Out of curiosity, she reached for one, and her hand brushed someone else’s. “Oh.” She was a little surprised, but it was no big deal. Although, it seemed as if she’d startled the other girl. “Really? I’ve never actually read one.” Sh glanced down at the cover of one. “My stepsisters love them, though. I thought I’d see what all the fuss was about.”
