do u ever just wake up and choose love? like u romanticise every conversation u have and just think about how lucky u are to be alive at the same time as people you care about and you look out the window at nature and you get that surge of dopamine like hell yeah fucking trees let's go and you just kinda lay in the grass listening to the birds in the sun and just choose to let the joy in and u sit there literally golden with happiness.

happiness comes to those who chase it. if you choose to make your past your personality you won't feel the present for what it truly is.

you need to shed your winter coat to feel the suns love.

REMAIN BRAVE.

skate flat stones across the river.

make my home a sanctuary, a shelter, a welcome resting place.

learn the first names and favorite foods of neighbors.

keep the windows open as long as warmth allows.

ask myself: will it make a good memory?

earlier mornings, longer walks.

remember I am not without my own seasons.

write recipes on paper. print photos out for framing. seek the tangible, the homemade.

speak out about harm when I see it done. leave room for learning, but never complacency.

one long summer drive to myself. an overnight somewhere new if possible.

let the candles burn through winter.

joy is not made to be a crumb, but a feast. arrive fork and knife in hand.

BE HOPEFUL, BUT ALSO IN ACTION.
