Bead animals were my JAM in the 90’s!! And you don’t have to limit your creativity to lizards, either! With a few adjustments, you can make anything!

AND with a little practice, you can even make them 3D shaped (especially with the smaller beads and wire, though you can make them with the bigger beads and string, to an extent)

DISCLAIMER: I don’t own any of these photos, I merely collected them from image searches.

This will hopefully be the first of many reference series. I tried to gather people from different ethnic backgrounds and with different skin tones, so I hope this helps anyone who needs them. 

Keep in mind, some of these are better references for the general facial structures of a person. For fine art drawing and painting references, you would need a reference with shaper contrasts of tone or hue.
