A drawing of Emilia from Re:Zero. I've always loved her design, so I wanted to take this opportunity to draw her as part of this challenge to finish a drawing in an hour! And honestly, the anime keeps getting better. Unfortunately, compared to my previous drawing, I did fall more into the trap of perfectionism and detailing this time. In the end, it took me about the same amount of time as the Pyra one, but I could have been faster considering the difference in the design’s complexity. Still, I think it turned out well, and it’s still pretty good for a 3 hour drawing!

By the time I post this drawing, I’ll be about to go on vacation. This will probably be my last illustration until I’m back in a few weeks, so I hope everything goes well for you all during that time! I’ll keep my commission forms open, but I’ll get to them once I’m back at work.

Switch 2 Pyra doodle 🔥

For this drawing, I took on the challenge of completing a drawing in one hour with the goal of speeding up the process, overcoming my perfectionism, and being able to produce more content than just one drawing every three months. Of course, I didn’t quite make it, but by the end of that hour I was already ready to move on to coloring, which is a huge accomplishment, especially given how detailed the design is! In total, I think it took me about three hours, since I didn’t rush through the coloring, but overall I’m pretty happy with the result. I think I’ll try this method again in the future to see if, over time, I can actually finish a drawing in an hour!

[OC] Sanctuary

A drawing of Cedric, my OC, playing the violin. I’ve had this image in my head ever since I started writing the character. For him, music is a refuge where he can forget, even if just for a little while, about his difficult life.

I’m not sure I captured it exactly as I wanted to, but at least I brought it to life, which is already more than enough. I’m afraid I may have gone overboard with details like the contrast, the finishing touches, and the golden tint, but I reached a point where I was too overwhelmed and biased from staring at the drawing for so long. I think, aside from that, the coloring turned out well, although it’s yet another one of those drawings where I’ve invested too much time given how little I have and how simple the concept was. Maybe I should try doing simpler things, or work on toning down my perfectionism.

I personally prefer to ignore and block if necessary. Giving them attention usually ends up worse.

[OC] Three Idiots

Heya! Today I bring you a short comic featuring my OCs Dylan, Alvin and Kaito. This was from a trend in Twitter/X that I joined incredibly late (original comic belongs to @ Min_tramcam).

I actually didn't start it THAT late, but yeah..... work and perfectionism didn't let me finish it sooner. This was supposed to be much simpler and more sketchy at first, and then I got really stuck with one of the poses..... at least I'm glad I got to finish it, and making more drawings for my characters is always a win-win for me.

Oh, yeah, some may have noticed changes about the designs, especially Dylan's hair not being white anymore. I don't remember if I already mentioned it here, but yeah, I had to change parts of lore and designs for a certain reason. Now the nobility blood distinction among humans is a mark in their eyes instead of commoners having white hair. I also took the chance to improve and add more detail to some older designs, like Dylan and Kaito here and the rest of their gang (all older artwork has already been updated in Toyhouse). I kind of want to work on my characters and world more, but I haven't felt too motivated lately. I don't have that much free time either and I've also beeing suffering from pretty bad back pain.
