ย ย ย itโs been long enough now since their breakup that adrian no longer finds himself forgetting they arenโt dating anymore when heโs in rylandโs bedroom, not even when heโs still coming down from the high of an orgasm and clothed in nothing but an oversized sweatshirt--his own, of course. theyโre long past the time when adrian would steal rylandโs clothes to sleep in, especially considering he wonโt be sleeping here. heโs always given the option of staying for a little while, however, and although he doesnโt always take it, tonight heโs decided to. it wonโt be intimate company--thereโs certainly not going to be any cuddling--but adrian supposes heโll always have a tiny soft spot for ryland and at times when heโs feeling lonelier than usual, even his emotionally detached presence is better than nothing. heโs even decided to push his luck by going out to the kitchen to make tea, and when he returns to the bedroom ( with a mug for each of them in hand ) thereโs a movie playing on the flat-screen. ryland himself seems as utterly aloof as ever and adrian wonders sardonically if his brief absence had gone unnoticed altogether.ย โunless your preferences have changed, itโs your favorite,โ he says as he gets carefully back onto the bed, folding his legs under himself and offering one mug out to ryland. itโs stupid, perhaps, that heโs held onto such a silly bit of information as the way ryland takes his tea, but adrianโs always been one for sentimentalities when it comes to the people he loves--or has loved, more accurately.ย โyouโre out of honey, by the way. i took the liberty of using the last of it.โย
