i miss the illusion of being in love and now i see why i never saw my mom really try again after her and my dad split up. its one thing to be heartbroken or whatever but when you really think you’re going to spend life with someone and they betray you or just don’t take it as seriously its beyond heartbreak imo because so much of you is attached to that outcome. nonetheless, rejection is still protection but i truthfully understand why some people just don’t try again.
