He can feel his heart fluttering beneath fingertips, spreading a warmth full of laughter and smiles that pulls them closer. To be with one another, sharing this vulnerability that would be terrifying with anyone else… yet when they touch it is an all consuming tenderness exploding in jubilation. Where once they stood as individuals now they stand as something else, something that is whole and safe. This joy, this trust, this desire, it is all encompassing and in this single moment all that they are. This, they both think, is love.
For anderfeelsy because you just… I can’t explain it well but when you draw for these two it makes me want to be able to capture the perfect moments between them. The life you put into them just, it inspires me so much.

obligatory modern au
So, my headcanon for non-magical au!Anders is that he is a survival sex workers that runs a clinic for other sex workers and people in need offering testing, condoms, abortions, medication as well as anti-virals for patients with HIV. He is a sex workers rights activist heavily focused on decriminalization after having spent most of his adult life in and out of prison on prostitution charges.
Having grown up poor and in foster care Anders saved up money for years to go to med school, but had to drop out after he was suspended for being hospitalized during a mixed manic episode. This was not Anders first episode, but it was his most severe, and he never quite recovered emotionally or economically. Cue Anders turning to sex work and upon seeing how little resources were available for people like him, opening up a little clinic when he had the opportunity.
I also imagine Anders having a little prayer room in his clinic for alle the sex workers and addicts and queer kids who are no longer welcome in their place of worship. Becuase religious!Anders is just really important to me, AU or not.
So, lets talk about Krem and classism. Fandom tends to focus heavily on Krems backstory and trauma as an issue of transphobia, and while that is true, the reason why it got as violent and dangerous as it did was in great part due to his status as a poor soparati.
I mean; lets be clear; punishment for being trans in the military was not slavery; it was a heavy fine. A fine that Krem, being very poor, had no chance of paying and therefore was given the choice between slavery or death. This is an excellent example of the ways in which the criminal justice system effects poor people way harder; Krems punishment is slavery or death. A rich trans persons punishment would be a fine and a discharge.
We also see this difference with Maevaris; she was allowed to marry a man, which implies that she is legally recognized as a woman and given rights that are exclusively given women. This is a right that is explicitly, and violently, denied Krem and we can only assume the reason for that is Maevaris social standing.
This is also the reason why I disagree that Dorian and Krem’s stories are fundemantally similar. To me, Dorians story is largely a personal tragedy of family abuse and unaccaptence. Krem’s story is largely one of systematic, state-sanctioned violence and inescapable poverty. They’re both queer, and they both left Tevinter for reasons related to it, but that’s about as far as the similiarities go.
Sometimes people use “respect” to mean “treating someone like a person” and sometimes they use “respect” to mean “treating someone like an authority”
and sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say “if you won’t respect me I won’t respect you” and they mean “if you won’t treat me like an authority I won’t treat you like a person”
and they think they’re being fair but they aren’t, and it’s not okay.
I replayed DA2
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hawke and Anders prompt maybe? Hawke returns from helping the Inquisitor, and he and Anders have a reunion hug.
