“Because I look really good in it, Milo,” Audrey rolled her eyes playfully. “It’s almost like you don’t understand how fashion works.” She put a hand on his shoulder. “Milo, you’re my favorite nerd, you know that, right? And me calling you a nerd comes from a place of love.” She snorted a laugh when he got flustered about Kida. “I didn’t ask that, so you’re totally looking for her. You should find her because she looks super hot tonight. Like… I don’t know, it’s probably because I’m a little drunk. But still. You should probably find her before midnight when everyone starts kissing and shit. So, y’know, she doesn’t accidentally on purpose break some poor idiot’s arm if he tries to make a move on her?”
He was about to comment that he clearly didn’t care how Kida looked (which was a LIE) when something else she said caught his attention. “You think someone might try and make a move on her?” He asked. “Tonight? Really?” Suddenly, he felt incredibly irritated. “I mean, why would someone do that? Not that Kida isn’t extremely attractive, because she is. I mean, speaking as someone who can notice when a woman is attractive. Just because you know, uh...” He cleared his throat.
