Teddy thought he would gather this foxglove to give to his valentine. Then, he realized that a picture was the only way to share it with all of you. Will you be Teddy’s valentine?
Teddy spends some quality time with friends and family over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Teddy felt he had finally mastered his ninja skills while hiding in plain sight along the walls of the Mui Ne Canyon. The fact that the eroding walls matched his fur was irrelevant, give him this one.
Teddy dove into the depths of the Hoosier National Forest. Finding a variety of things from changing colors and woolly aphids to Shagbark Hickorys.
It's a lovely feeling to be able to peer through trees to see something towering in the distance. As Teddy climbed higher and higher in Mount Aspiring National Park he looked across the valley to watch the far side become more and more level with his own view. Finally, he popped through the trees and gained more than just a glance; unobstructed beauty.
Is Teddy's owner a male or female or anything in between? Please ignore if this is too personal, sorry~
I generally like to keep the suspense alive! Mostly it’s not about me, it’s about Teddy! But I also love the way you’ve asked... except I would hardly consider myself Teddy's owner, more a friend or his photographer, but, I suppose I’ll share. Also let's be real, internet sleuths would probably be able to figure it out pretty easily. I am a male, definitely understand the curiosity! If you saw my atrocious handwriting in the short letters I send with the free stickers I give out you’d have your assumptions right away I'm sure.
The difference a day can make in the clarity of a view. Teddy hiked his way up Thousand Turtle Mountain on two days and was blown away at the varying views he had. He decided the clear blue sky and bright sun on his shoulders was more preferable, but still found a subtle beauty to the haze and the colors that it revealed in the surrounding mountains.
Teddy thought he might be cresting over another small hill as he made it to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko. When he peered out to the world below, he realized that maybe he had indeed come to the highest ground around. In fact, he had just gained the view from one of the seven summits. The rock pocked area created a texture to the grassy expanse that pleased and distracted from the building clouds overhead. With the safety of trees still well below him, Teddy did not linger in his appreciation.
Teddy went from the inlet to the outlet on a walk all around Willow Lake. With a cliff view to look out over the lake, he felt as if he were soaring on high. From the other side looking back, he reveled in the ability of his little paws to carry him to such wonderful vantage points.
Teddy sat in awe looking over the path of destruction left by Dart Glacier. He found himself marveling at the lines in the ice, the juxtaposition of shades that reminded him of Cruella De Vil and the mounds of debris hiding deep crevasses and unseen treachery. Once he finally managed to tear his gaze from the beauty of the glacier itself, he wandered through the glacial till. Picking his way around boulders and enjoying the fine sand on his paws. Teddy eventually found himself at the bottom of the glacier and looked back on the immense wall of rock hiding the blues of thick ice beneath.
Teddy contemplated getting a drink from the source on this alpine excursion. With Kit Carson looming in the background there was nothing feeding this water supply but alpine perfection.
How long have Teddy and his photographer been traveling together?
We just rolled over 14 Years :D
I love your account so much and I love teddy💕 every time I see your posts it makes my day❤️ I hope you and teddy keep going on amazing adventures together forever
We hope we’re able to keep adventuring for a long long time too. :) Just have to hope the threads and bones hold up I guess. Teddy loves you too, thank you for your kind words!
Teddy tries to find the beauty in everything that he crosses. When it comes to rocks, he does not struggle to find appreciation, especially when they have as much going on as these two do. Teddy lounged on these rocks that he found on the side of the trail. Can you imagine a better feeling? You’re tired from walking when you happen across a wonderful seat and even more it’s great to look at too!
Nature provides.
When did Teddy started his adventures of seeing the world and what had inspired him to do so?
Well Teddy took his first trip internationally later on in the year of 2014. He had been adventuring before that with photographs beginning in 2011 and then really taking off in 2013 when his photographer started this blog and really began trying to document more of his adventures. Teddy just loves an adventure so when his photographer wanted to see some of Asia and sought a short term contract in Hong Kong for employment Teddy jumped at the chance to see something new. As for his photographer, while working as a backpacking guide in New Mexico a friend told of adventures they were able to have in Hong Kong and the company that paid for their round trip flights so that helped to spark the inspiration, at least for those legs in the adventure.
Teddy sat for a moment and squinted his eyes across a valley at what was described to him as a Sleeping Buddha on the far side. As he looked on he began to see what everyone was talking about. The neck and chin, an ear and eyebrow. Things weren't just waiting to be seen in clouds he decided.
Happy Birthday to Teddy! Here he sits with a Banyan Tree, thoroughly enjoying its ability to grow anywhere and on anything. Posted Thursday July 9th, 2015.
Hard to believe it’s been ten years since we originally shared this one! Time flies and there are so many more adventures to share :)
