I’m sorry :(

Hi! Long time no write! So I’m just gonna get straight to the point with this post. TL ; DR at the end for anyone who doesn’t wanna deal with my dramatic bullshit.

Brief summary:

As everyone on my blog knows, I started this back in early November 2020 because I was bored and had a good amount of free time on my hands. However, near my winter break, all hell broke loose at school. I then promised to finish a few asks during spring break a few weeks ago, which I did not do due to having work assigned over the break (I did not know was going to happen so f*ck you teacher that was a shit move) and feeling horrible about it. This year has not left a good impression and it’s hard to even have the motivation to get off my phone so I’m in this endless cycle of phone, homework, feeling like shit, more homework, staying up late, etc. etc. Unfortunately, I will be taking a break as I know this will continue for the rest of the year. I feel horrible for rarely answering any asks anymore and I’m sorry :’(.

Confession:

To be honest, this blog never really got too much attention anyway. I’d get maybe an ask or two every few weeks and get 5-10 notes on it and I kind of feel like no one really cares. I don’t feel like it ever grew and it’s just another dead weight on my chest. It’s also a bit exhausting to run this type of thing since I have to do research to make sure I’m giving decent advice and make it so that it can fit the character’s personality when being said. :((

My reason:

As I’m entering years in school that will be very important for my future, I will not have any time to focus on this in the upcoming months and am notifying the few followers I have that I will be taking a long break since I did not want to leave without warning. I am deeply sorry and I really wish I could’ve continued this blog and answered the few asks I do get but everyone who followed and asked were super nice and supporting which made me feel great so thank you all :).  

Will I return:

I am not officially saying that this blog is over, but it might be, sadly :/. I may return in the summer as I will have more free time, but then again, I’m not even sure. Hopefully, I do and can be more productive, but until then, I will call this a hiatus. If I do leave, don’t worry, I won’t take anything down :).

I’m not kidding when I say the people who followed, asked, reblogged, etc. all made me feel so good. When people would ask me for advice I felt like people actually trusted me with their problems even though it was technically the dexholders who were giving it and it was pretty shitty advice, not gonna lie lmao. Thanks to all of you, you’re all amazing don’t even try to argue. A few people would send me asks just to say they liked my blog and that I’m a nice person (which I’m not smh lol) and it really made me feel good and made my day so thank you to those couple anons. I wish I could give you a hug. :))))))

So yeah, that’s it. Thank you so much to everyone again, I’m so sorry and I hope to return in a few months if I have the motivation :). Have a great rest of your school year if you go to school. If it’s IRL, please always wear your mask and respect social distancing as it is the only way we can all work together to get rid of the virus. If you’re online, holy shit I hope you’re doing better than I am and I wish you the absolute best of luck. For everyone else, have a great rest of your month or two (wtf is time anymore when is June) and keep reading pokespe because I love every single one of these dexholders like my family wtf :))).

TL ; DR: I will be taking a break due to various reasons and might end this blog, but I might hopefully return in the summer. If I do end it, I won’t take anything down. Thank you all so much for the support and I’m sorry :(((.

Loid finds out halfway that she’s been bleeding through her dress and proceeds to drag her to he school’s infirmary. Then there was a large piece of beautiful angst on whether she’d let him help and - here you go.

LOOK AT THIS KID.

His name is Red, not Ash. Yes, he does come from Pallet Town. And he also eventually becomes the trainer of a Pikachu. But this kid is very different from the well-known Ash Ketchum.

He nicknames his Pokemon. He has red eyes. He travels by himself. He, with the help of other Dex Holders, helps to not only put Team Rocket’s evil deeds to an end once, but twice.  ALSO, he helped fight against the Elite Four when they were trying to KILL PEOPLE. Then he joined together with 9 other Dex Holders to fight a gigantic monster that would’ve drowned the whole world.

He set the standards for having a PokeDex- for it isn’t a tool that is just given out to EVERYONE.

When he was turned to stone, tears couldn’t bring him back. Only a wish from Jirachi could.

He started his epic journey at the age of 11. This is also when he became Champion of the Indigo Plateau. At 12, he faced the Elite Four. At 13, he helped deal with the Mask of Ice. At 16, he fought Team Rocket and Deoxys, ending with being turned to stone. Again at 16, he faced Guile Hideout.

That’s right, he actually grows older.

Red, the Fighter, Champion, and the first Dex Holder we were introduced to, still manages to be the humble, simple, and kind-hearted rash protagonist that kicked off the whole manga.

This kid is not Ash Ketchum.

This kid is Red.

And he is one badass, fighter-man that still has his clueless moments- but that’s why we love him.

I’m sure everyone’s heard the whole “Wally should’ve been a Dexholder and Emerald shouldn’t even exist!” line. I don’t agree with that for the most part. I don’t see what Wally would’ve done in the Emerald arc and Emerald himself is a good character that deserves to exist. But that’s not what this post is about. I’m not one to complain about plot in Pokespe since It’s a Pokémon manga and even Kusaka-San isn’t perfect, but one thing that bothers me is how Wally didn’t keep the Pokédex. He could’ve easily been given another one after he returned Emerald’s. I know the Pokédex isn’t something professors can just yEeT at new trainers and say “go do shit with this I don’t care”, but there have been so many instances where random kids have been given a Pokédex. Diamond and Pearl are a prime example of two trainers getting the Dex by accident. Even Ruby got his by accident. So why couldn’t Wally keep his/get a new one? I’ve thought about it, and it could be related to the whole “each Dexholder has a special talent and that’s why they get a Pokédex” But even then, there have been many exceptions like Dia and Pearl. (I haven’t read DPPt in a while so sorry if this is 100% wrong lol) Up until DP, the Dexholders talents have been related to Pokémon while I can’t distinctly remember any talents the duo had relating to Pokémon. Sure, they got the dex by accident but if the whole “each Dexholder has a special talent and that’s why they get a Pokédex” was really the case, then Dia and Pearl would’ve had to return the Dex after saving Sinnoh. I know Wally didn’t have any distinctive talents either, but he had already been ready to contribute in RS by the time he found the Dex, unlike Diamond and Pearl who just got it by accident (even if it was a misunderstanding and prof. Rowan wasn’t aware at first that Paka and Uji hadn’t gotten the Pokédexes.) 

TLDR I think Wally should’ve gotten a new Pokédex and that Hoenn could’ve had 4 Dexholders (I know there are usually 3 per region, but if Kanto was an exception then I don’t see why Hoenn couldn’t have been) 

P.S. I just realized it sounds like I’m hating on Diamond and Pearl in this lmao. I just wanna make it clear that I love them both and I’m not hating on them in this rant/analysis. I’m just using them as examples :).

Diamond is the Empathizer

Pearl is the Determiner (it sounds dumb, but it relates to willpower)

And Platinum is the Understander

(I didn’t finish the Sinnoh arc, so I checked the wiki).

Oh yeah of course :) I knew about their titles but I was talking more about how Oak said he gives pokedexes to worthy kids who have a specific talent with Pokémon
