[ ooc ] : All reply responses have been drafted, but I may as well address this now. Between my work schedule and college course loads, I haven't been as active as I would love to be. No, I'm not leaving Lumen. I adore his muse too much to do that. It's just that my replies will take a bit longer, and my activity will be spottier.
In terms of threads, feel free to comment on the post, or leave a like if you still want to continue the current threads we have ongoing.

He misses Rhodes Island, truly. But there are still a couple of unresolved matters left for Jordi to solve in Iberia.

The end. That should've been the final nail in the coffin, the final indicator of Jordi's reluctance to continue texting. But his cellular device pinged once more, the screen lighting up with an immediate text message from Dio. ❝ Uh... There's no way... Señor Dio is coming...❞ Of course, there was an old proverbial saying.

And some individuals were more obstinate than others. The Aegir knew from firsthand experience, and Dio certainly fell into that category. He shook his head, dispelling cumbersome thoughts aside. Those medical charts weren't going to write themselves.

The Cautus wobbled some and went dizzy eyed but snapped out of it a bit when she was caught by Lumen and shaded suddenly by an umbrella. She stared for a moment before closing her eyes and doing as told, taking a deep breath. She sat down with a slouch, almost laying down with her arms over her stomach.
"Yes sir..." she smiled lightly with a small giggle, "That was definitely too much for me. I apologize if I frightened you." She was curious why he had an umbrella. Was it his special weapon? "I will rest now." She saw her water bottle nearby and reached out and snatched it. She took a drink and sighed in relief. "I promise I don't do that kind of thing in battle. Unless I need to go all out to protect someone. But I try not to."
The Aegir's thoughts were a muddled mess of contradicting emotions. Should he alert the senior medics, or was he making a mountain out of a molehill? What about Doctor Kal'tsit's reaction? She wouldn't be on board with the newest recruit burning herself out needlessly. ❝ I-I'll admit. You gave me quite the fright. ❞ He murmured abashedly, his grasp tightening around the umbrella's handle, knuckles creaking with the pressure exerted. Lumen's shoulders sagged in defeat, his stance slackening as the adrenaline ran its course.
He was left in a near-state of perpetual exhaustion and hypervigilance. It wasn't her fault, per se. Being a worrywart was an inherent trait of his, one that couldn't be easily dismissed or overlooked. ❝ Yes, please rest. I'll stand watch. ❞ Umbrella in hand, Jordi ventured closer to the Cautus, his parasol casting a whimsical mosaic of shaded patterns across her prone body. A muted exhale escaped through the Iberian's lips, his index and middle finger pressed lightly against her wrist, checking her radial pulse for signs of sluggishness.
Once satisfied that she wasn't in immediate trouble, Lumen backed off, giving the exhausted operator a wide berth. ❝ I... would rather you not do that. You'll just end up burning yourself out. ❞ The Aegirian comments, his expression softening as her statement touches something buried deep within him. Was she self-sacrificing? Perhaps some things are best left forgotten.
