So I think I’m going to officially retire Ledi and let Kay take her place.  I found a great FC for her, that’s absolutely perfect, and it’ll be more fun/easier to RP Kay than Ledi.  And maybe her little brother as well XD

The night in the Tundra Express was a quiet one for the first time in a long time. The bandit camps surrounding the old farm house were silent for who knows why and Khaleesi was enjoying the quiet and the moonlight outside. 

As she worked in her small sized garden, Khaleesi noticed a flickering flame in the air and and the face of another woman not far.

“Who goes there?”

“Aegrus?” Khaleesi recognized the name, a faint inkling of familiarity. Her mother had once told her many stories as a child. “Hm. I was under the impression Aegrusis rarely came to the mainland. But do not worry you have not yet done anything to warrant the need for forgiveness.”

Ledi narrowed her eyes and lifted her hand slightly, letting the fire flare around her fingers to cast more light.  She didn’t need it, but once again, new territory and she was out of her element.  Not to mention the manners her mother had taught her as a child before her death.

She bowed her head slightly to the other woman, acknowledging her words.  “You are correct, we do not roam often.  But I see you have found the allure of the mainland as well.”

It wasn’t often Ledi found the need to travel to the mainland, but sometimes, just sometimes it called to her.  Kayin was safe and sound for one of the few nights the witch found herself without her tiny spawn.  She was enjoying stretching her legs, and bathing her claws in blood.  Any bandit who was foolish enough to come across her was slain quickly, and quietly.  She was a good hunter tonight.

Now she enjoying the silence that had descended, a small flame flickering in her palm to light her way.  She stopped when she heard the voice, eyes flashing, reflecting the firelight when she looked up.  She rumbled a low, warning growl, then realized she was far from home, and encroaching on another’s territory.

“Dari ji mi.  I am no one.  A native to Aegrus.”

I didn't think you'd cared (akachi)

The witch watched with rapt fascination as the siren’s markings flared to life.  While not truly alike, she found herself fascinated by one who was, somewhat, similar, at least in looks.  “I had not, this is truth.  But I am finding, if not care, then intrigue.  There is potential.”

“Alright then.” Akachi went back to messing around with her powers forming a small phase needle in her hand and then putting it out a few seconds later, a small past time for her. “If you’re intrigued by me then ask a question or something after all you’re probably one of the few people here I share a similarity with.”

Ledi tilted her head to the side, watching the flickering needle carefully, not trusting the other woman not to stab her, or some such.  She quirked an eyebrow and smirked at their similar line of thinking.

“Indeed.  How does it work?  Is it elemental?  You are not a witch, so I assume your mother did not possess these powers.  Or did she?  Were you born with it?”  She paused, blinked once, then hummed.  Maybe she should slow down...

“ i didn’t think you’d care. ”

“You are quite right.  I do not care for trespassers or their reasoning behind coming here.”  She regarded the pale woman before her, eyes narrowed to slits.  Smoke curled from the witch’s lips as she contemplated what to do with the intruder.  She was curious though, any woman who smelled of blood and sweat, who had the signs of hard work etched into her skin was, generally, worthy of a modicum of respect.

Part of the reason hadn’t killed her yet.  The other part was the pair of wide brown eyes peering at them from inside the window of a small hut.  Finally Ledi spoke again.  “There is nothing for your kind here.”

Anastasia only need a flick of her eyes toward the window to work out what lay behind, or more importantly who, in relation to the woman in front of her. The trigger happy hand that had been hovering on her hip, just above her holster relaxed a bit. Best to keep the interaction a civil one if possible.

“I didn’t mean to bother you. Didn’t even know there were people living out here.”

A low growl rumbled from her chest, but she didn’t seem terribly displeased, merely a noise the wild woman made when in thought.  However, said little one disappeared from view with a squeak and curls bouncing after her.  At least she’d been able to hammer some sense into her daughter’s head over the past few years.  Finally...

“The only bother is if you are hostile.  Otherwise I do not care.  And few know anything of Aegrus, so I am not surprised at your lack of knowledge.  What do you want?”
