Hatchetman!
(I'm not making a new blog just for battletech lol)
A headcanon of mine about the Angels Encarmine is that the reason they paint their death company white is so that by spilling enough blood in combat they can paint it red again. "Encarmine" translates to "to make red" so perhaps one could read "angels encarmine" as "the angels who make themselves red" referring to the death company.
Let's take the theory a step further. What if there's a superstition among the chapter that, if a death company marine can stain their armor completely red in battle (restoring it to the color of their old armor), they can escape The Black Rage? One of the few things we know about the Angels Encarmine is that their death company is always unusually large. This is because they break the rules and keep their death company marines alive after battle, hoping that in just a couple more fights their brothers may rejoin them.
I remembered I have an actual camera so here are some better shots of the death company guy I posted before
Death Company intercessor succumbing to The Black Rage
When I learned that Angels Encarmine Death Companies wear white armor I knew what I had to do.
More elves (WIP)
Trust the process...
First killteam unit mostly done (not basing until I'm done painting them all)
Process below:
Progress on Apothecary Biologis
I'll post elves again someday. Someday ...
Progress on Death Guard KT
I've had this box of skitarii sitting around forever at this point so I went ahead and started on the arquebus guy just for fun
Fine I'll get the corsair box
Planning this sort of color scheme in impcat but idk how well it'll turn out. I know my yellows will not turn out that clean.
Woe, Plague Be Upon Ye (WIP)
Never thought I'd be painting Death Guard but roommate picked up a kill team box so here we are. I like painting them! my bottle of agrax earthshade dried out a bit and comes out a little thicker and muddier than it should, usually annoying but here I just leaned into it.
Process below
I'm still painting 40k btw, but I told myself I wouldn't buy any more eldar until the ones I have are all painted. It's just windriders from the old combat patrol left. I hate them. Like don't get me wrong they look great but all the angles and edges and the pilot and markings and extra bits to glue on uggghhhhh...
Im not the only one who involuntarily hears the spider man song when they see a warpspider? like i caught myself humming to it yesterday...
