Aigis is having a very confusing (and very long) first day.
monstrousmiasma:
Does he require aid, she asks, and Adachi can tell she aims to stick around – out of the goodness of her robo-heart. Dammit. Just like before, someone else’s kindness is hurting him, but this time there’s no furious, near-homicidal revulsion rising in his throat. Just a bitter acceptance.
“If you insist,” Adachi mutters, as he mentally berates his other self. The sharp, stabbing jolt begins to fade to a duller kind of pain. “You really don’t have to, though. It’ll go away sooner or later.” If she went away sooner, it would be later, but he’s learned in his experience that pushing some people away just makes them stay by your side even longer.
That’s almost as much of a pain as this headache right now.
“Why wouldn’t I? Even if it goes away later, then you’d have the medicine for later.” Aigis pointed out, nodding to herself and beginning to lead the way with the directions he’d previously given her. Still, now that she thought about it, she couldn’t shake the feeling that she may have met them before.. Which in and of itself didn’t make sense. She had only just arrived here but some tugging inside her said she should be... worried? Maybe even angry. It was probably just the jitters.
“Ah!” She exclaimed, stopping and turning on her heel to face the other. “I apologize. My name is Aigis. It is a pleasure to meet you.”
It’s followed by yet another bow that leaves her staring at the concrete again. At the very least, one couldn’t knock Aigis for not being polite. Perhaps too polite...
@genesismaiden
“Ah, I apologize. I did not notice you.” Aigis replied, having to stop herself from almost whacking the other with one of her bags of groceries. It wasn’t often that she missed someone nearby her, though being around so many people had left her a bit with ‘jet lag’, or something equivalent to it.
“Are you alright? I can provide medical assistance if required.”
@darknessfoundlove
A... Shadow? Here?! Almost immediately, the robot moved her hand upward, the fingertips expanding to reveal the gun barrels they truly were. Of course, they couldn’t fire right now.. but at the same time, maybe they didn’t know that? It would intimidate them, perhaps, to be held at gun-point.
“Please do not move.”
Maybe this place was a part of Tartarus after all..
@abyssalhowl
“I apologize. Do canines usually reach such sizes?” She asked, having to crane her head up a bit to see them. It was peculiar to see a dog that large, at least as far as she was aware. Though her sample size was rather small...
“Oh, I apologize. My name is Aigis.” The robot introduced, bowing now in introduction. ..Was it weird that she was talking to a dog? No, people did that all the time.
@helpingthelongrain
“Ah, I apologize. Are you open?” Aigis asked, slipping inside nervously. It was always a bit odd entering establishments. Especially considering this was.. an antique shop? That was what had fascinated her in the first place.
“I, erm, I wanted to window shop and maybe.. ask a few questions? If that’s alright. Antiques just.. interest me.”
Sorry about this weekend. I got dragged to an all-weekend vacation against my will so I wasn’t able to get online much. I’ll be doing those starters tonight! They may be short since I’m exhausted but, hey, better than nothing.
As it seems a lot of starters I owed are tied to lost blogs, how about a new starter call?
Capping at 5 this time! I’ll be trying to get to these tonight or tomorrow. Sorry for all the delays!
deathsfool:
it was….harder than she thought.
at the moment, Minako wanted nothing more than to simply hug the other. to pull her in tightly and not let go. but that is something she can’t do. after all, they are strangers. ( ah, that was never a word she would have associated with the other before. but it’s the truth. they are strangers now. ) but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t become friends once more. or, at the least, acquaintances. Minako would be fine with just that and couldn’t ask for more.
despite what she’s done, despite the fact that Aigis did not know her….she still wanted her in her life.
“ I haven’t been here that long, but from what I gathered, a lot of the people here were just….brought here. No real reason why and asking the citizens doesn’t give any answers. This island has its share of strange happenings, too. It honestly seems like something out of some story or video game. “
Aigis pondered on the other’s words, head tilting to the side now as she rubbed her head. In truth, the video game comparison flew right over her head. She knew of them, though it wasn’t something she had the chance to partake in yet. The fact that there didn’t seem to be a reason behind the taking of so many people was certainly odd...
Had it not been solved twice over now, Aigis would have been worried this had to do with the Dark Hour. Though that couldn’t be...
She shook the idea away, frowning as she pushed past that. It wouldn’t do any good on dwelling on things the other didn’t have any idea of. At least, as far as Aigis knew anyways.
“At the very least, the general populace seems normal. When I first arrived, I was worried something more sinister was at play... but it may be less severe than I hypothesized.”
Ah, that’s right, she should move onto a more pressing matter at the moment. At the very least, one more pressing now that she knew they weren’t in immediate danger.
“If it is alright with you, could you perhaps show me around? I would like to get a feel for the area but the scenery changes have left me more bewildered than when I had begun.”
aeonmachine liked for a starter
Alone, she had spent the evening gazing through art galleries displayed on the streets. She had been especially drawn into the artists that were working on commission art. Since she never really focused on the creative arts herself, she found the stroke of their brush beautiful. Despite her interest in other’s works, she found it boring to pursue otherwise and found the sway of blade far more satisfying. As a warrior who grew up around blades, her heart resonated with the violent art. There was an elegance and grace through each movement of the body, similar to a ceremonial dance but reserved for warriors.
In the crowds she heard murmurs of a string of plays ongoing at the Calliope Theater and her attention was pulled from the paintings. Perhaps if she was lucky she’d see something with more action involved. Stopping only to talk to a stranger about directions, she headed straight towards the theater. Once she happened upon it, people were already heading to the back of the stage, possibly to start for the next one. Moving into the crowd, she managed to get up closer to the front, gazing curiously as an elderly man walked onto the stage.
He stared into the crowd, slowly taking in each person’s face. Finally he smiled, and began speaking loudly to the people gathered around. ‘I would like to have few volunteers for this certain play. Would anyone like to be apart of it?’ Despite clearly coming off as a question, there were other members from the theater who began picking people from the crowd, Mi-na being one of them as well as a young blonde woman.
Plays were one thing that Aigis really couldn’t wrap her head around. She understood the concept of fiction, naturally, though plays weren’t something she got to experience much of. It was so odd to her. So when the girl heard one was being performed at the Theater, her curiosity had gotten the better of her.
She had managed to squeeze herself into a spot she could watch the play without much hindrance, admittedly rather excited to understand what all the fuss was about. At the very least, the large crowd meant that it was at least going to be good. Though, when she noticed that the play wasn’t starting in full and, instead, participants were being picked from the crowd?
Well, nothing ventured... It likely even caught the member off-guard when Aigis stood just as soon as she’d been selected, giving a bow to them and making her way to the stage without a moment’s delay.
“I appreciate the opportunity.” She stated, giving yet another bow.
Now that she was here, however, Aigis had to confess she was.. perhaps nervous? There was certainly a difference between watching a play and fumbling through it..
I just want you all to know that Youtube is a comedic genius. I was watching a scene from the Persona 4 anime and after that intense emotional shit
it autoplayed to one of the Dancing All Night videos
And the tonal whiplash of groveling on the floor and being held at gunpoint about how worthless and superficial the truth is
to dancing with your overgrown teddy bear absolutely eviscerated me. I laughed so hard that I am in actual pain.
monstrousmiasma:
Does he have a moment? Well, he’s–
Immediately he feels Magatsu-Izanagi kick up a howl in his brain, snarling incoherently. If it had a mouth, it would certainly be foaming. Adachi grimaces and clutches the side of his head as his Persona runs wild inside of his skull. He looks like he’s just had a killer migraine come on.
“Y-yeah, sure, I’ve got a moment.” There’s an audible crack in his voice, but Adachi continues on. Keeping the mask on is such a pain sometimes. “I actually… used to go here, haha. I don’t even know how much time passed between then and now, but anyway!”
“I just left one not too long ago. It’s… a couple blocks down, past the first intersection, turn right and keep going until you see it.”
This again, huh? You really don’t like her… Her Persona, I mean. … Whichever one it was…
Another bow follows his answer, though now it was obvious the robot was worried for him. A frown spread over Aigis’s face at his visible pain and the sound of his voice. She wasn’t too knowledgeable about humans, though she’d seen similar looks on her friends now and again. School was a difficult thing for a lot of people.
“Do you require aid, sir?” she asked, tilting her head to one side. “I would be happy to assist you.”
“If you would like, you can accompany me to the store and I could acquire you some over-the-counter medicine for your pain.”
His reaction was an utter bewilderment to her at the moment, even as she felt a slight discomfort around him. However, that was easily chalked up to her distaste for this place in general.
It was always good to be nice to strangers. At least in her experience.
Sorry I didn’t get too many replies done already! I ended up catching a stomach bug pretty bad. Thankfully it wasn’t anything worse but it’s left me unable to do much until just a bit ago.
thetruename:
“Ah, well, I’m not a robot myself,” Chara admits, still upside-down. It’s really hard, it turns out, to communicate like this. They do their best to ‘swim’ through the lack of gravity and stay close to the stranger. “But I have met a robot. It called itself a ‘Secunit’ and said there were other robots here like it.”
“Wait, are you… not a robot?” Chara asks. “You did clank a moment ago. I mean no offense, but I suppose I just assumed.”
“Secunit..” Aigis murmured, frowning in thought. She wasn’t aware of any other robots, so the so casual mention of one had taken her off-guard. Still, she supposed, now that she thought about it, the idea wasn’t impossible. From what she’s gathered about this place already, it was certainly more advanced than Aigis could’ve anticipated.
Still, the question brought her out of her thoughts. It would probably be rude to lie, especially since robots were apparently so common here.
“Ah, I am. I am Aigis.” The introduction is complete with a traditional polite bow, which let loose another yip as the movement sent her spiraling once again.
She missed gravity.
@aeonmachine
Zero has no clue what dust is–it’s probably like credits, right? So it’s currency. The circumstance he hates. He’d rather kill someone for money right now but he has no connections in this world. This fantasy? He’s giving up on logic for right now.
The pixies are probably fake, but holding the pig…
This is a real pig. It squirms in his rough hands; Zero doesn’t know how to handle animals at all. What if instead…he just…ate it…no. No. Money is the better reward here. The fox kit thing is probably a lie–though it would be kinda cool if it was true, right? It’s just to discourage people from losing these things. It’s a live animal after all, it has value on it’s own.
Okay! Eyes on the prize! Go, pig…! He sets it down and releases it to do what it’s…supposed to do? And within seconds it’s running in fear of him. Running after it with relentless determination doesn’t help to assuage it’s fears at all.
One hand on his sword sheath, he bursts through bush, dodges trees branches, and eventually he gets his hands on…!!
SOMEONE ELSE’S PIG…!!!
[…]
[Sorry.]
> “Fuck.”
This was more challenging than Aigis has initially anticipated. All of these things on the island were interesting to her, along with the idea that she had to try new things to understand as a person. So it was only natural to try out what she thought was some sort of ‘joke’ challenges.
Though as she set the pig down and watched it start wandering about, the robot couldn’t help but be more than a little flabbergasted. It was certainly alive, leaving her to only one conclusion. Shadows? No, it wasn’t the Dark Hour. It couldn’t possibly be...
It took a few moments deep in thought before the realization that the pig wasn’t in her peripheral anymore. Immediately, she’s chasing after it, leaving her hopping over thick roots, ducking under branches, then skidding to a halt when she manages to catch up to it...
And a... samurai? At least that’s what he looks like holding onto her pig...
“I... believe that one is mine, sir.” She points out, gaze flicking about for another one nearby. It wouldn’t do any good if this person lost theirs and got found out.
She didn’t think this was a joke anymore.

You can also put the word “Boss” in front of the symbol and I’ll write it as a boss battle instead of just a generic battle.
