The hardest man in the room to read, one minute he’s as gentlemanly as a billionaire salesman, the next, he’s a psychotic with no regard to his own life. Or others, in some cases. Their interactions so far have been interesting, and also sporadic at best. But Kiryu believed he could at least trust this man a little after the Tachibana incident.
“I need help getting back on my feet.” The times weren’t too great on Kiryu, but he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to get the hell up and back into the game. “Heard Cabaret was pretty huge in Kamurocho now-a days. I remembered you had a casino and club yourself, so without starting a fight with anyone, I wanted a crash course.”
…Starting a fight, was a bit ironic. Considering Majima’s borderline obsession with throwing hands with the Dragon. “Can you help?”
What a turn of events! To think a hardened man who was well strapped to his pride such as Kiryu would be asking him for help! Was the grin on his face a bit too big? It might be; some screws got loose at the worst times---what can you do? Using words instead of fists why---now that was surely new for Dojima's lieutenant---or was he even still such at thing? Mysteries!
Now now---let's not get ahead in fear that we might spook'em. Bring the face back seldom, he did. Guy got a taste of prison life---that is the price they do pay, isn't it? If shit goes tits up? Japan might not be able to lay a finger on all of the Yakuza's doings (for the most part) but, the ones they could, oh---! Did they go for it! Looks like the law caught up with him....but for what? Rumors were rumors and Majima knew better than to put a lot of stock into a source that could be full of shit.
Hear it from his mouth---Kiryu was here after all....Majima stepped aside and pushed the door of his office open; the motion with the head to come in without words, offering the other a place of refugee. Help him get back on his feet? Child's play---but what was a neutralist but not out for themselves? That was the motto of most---what's in it for me?
