today i found out my family believe in eugenics
specifically for dissabilities and mental illnesses. she calls it "getting rid of suffering"
Edit: my sister just said "in the pure sense of it, eugenics isnt bad in thoery."
Edit 2: my mom just said that if she could she would remove the dissability of her hypothetical baby. To me, her mentally dissabled child.

I remember this youtube channal that I just can't find.
They made these incredible illistrations with a story being told while the speed paint was going.
What I remember most was a video of a spirt/mermaid of a mantis shrimp lady. The story voice over was of a sailor's sad/horror toned encounter with her. She could see beyond anything he could imagine, and he lamented that.
I think there were a bunch of other videos like that. About merfolk that were in a serious and dower tone, based upon real animals and their traits.
