i'm a previous critblr lurker turned poster. I'm fairly new to tumblr and everything on here feels so hard to use, so if i do anything that isn't good tumblr etiquite pls lmk!!

i’ve been wanting to post some more positive things, but i’ve lowkey been trying to figure out how i wanna go about that. i try to not let anyone get an unequal treatment, but that also kinda gets me in a weird situation when i wanna try and review ccs’ new stuff but it’ll end up awkward if i a actually have something good to say about a cancelled cc 🧍‍♀️but thank you!! i do try to make sure i give an unbiased view :D

Can I just say how I love that Grians getting crit instead of being glazed on here. That guy overshadows everybody and has serious main character syndrome ntm the way he treats Scar. I know Scar doesn’t care about that but he’s a better person than I am

grian surprisingly is my favorite, but i think i sorta need to look out for a new one since ive been finding that his content has degraded over time. i thought the main character syndrome was all in my head up until the secret club in the life series happened and i was like ok pack it up.

About Martyn texting grians wife, it's possible that they could be in the process of separating or maybe giving each other space to work things out? Or maybe she's visiting her family for friends which is why grians "living alone"? I think it's also possible in that one livestream where Grian says he's alone his wife could honestly just have been out of the house but it is kinda weird that Grian could've read all of the chat messages about his wife and didn't say "she's not here right now" and instead just ignore it altogether. It's also weird that Scar jumped to the neighbors instead of inquiring about where grians wife is, but idk. Idk about Martyn & Grians irl friendship but it's possible Grians closer to the hermits so maybe that's why Martyn brought up the his wife but he doesn't know what's going on behind the scenes and he's just on friendly terms with her, bc I think the hermits usually try to not inquire about each others personal lives on camera? Idk it's such a weird small detail that Grian could've clarified in two seconds but he didn't

hes made it a really big point to keep his private life private, so i don’t think we’re ever gonna hear much about grian’s wife from grian specifically. which i get. i dont doubt theyre still together.

lowkey since gem is on tumblr and you're speculating on her irl relationships (and hey no judgement! I'm here reading up on it lol) I think everyone else who also is should block her so she doesn't see it. This is just coming from someone who was part of a fandom that openly speculated about RPF on tumblr when the CCs involved also had active tumblrs (Dan and Phil) and well. Everyone knows how that went. Sorry if this seems too commanding since I'm just an anon but one thing i appreciate about this new gen of mcyt is how RPFers are generally more respectful and private about what they do compared to the era I grew up with, and I just would feel awful if Gem started getting awkward around all her male friends bc she saw speculation that was meant to stay in fan spaces

i’ll post this so people see, but i wanna let you know upfront that ccs will always end up seeing things that aren’t directly meant for them. so everyone should block if the haven’t, but i wouldn’t get my hopes up :,)

hi! i’ve been a little uninterested as of late in hermitcraft/ hermitcraft adjacent things. it seems like hc stuff is mainly what’s bringing people to my account, but i just wanna let everyone know that.

i’ll still post the hc asks i get for the sake of free speech, but my opinions will either be slightly outdated or just not there so i don’t accidentally mislead you!

also to other anons that addressed things to me specifically in my inbox, i’ll read it but i won’t post it if you’re only talking to ME me about something you think i should do differently etc. (so yes that meta crit person i did read ur ask!)

I think it's time we address the cam situation and this blog.

This is a confession blog, and while some people try and separate twitter and tumblr confessions I feel that's pointless. We are not exempt when referring to confession blogs. That being said, we will not stop being one just because a cc does not like it.

We try our best to tag and label exactly what's in this blog and what's on each post. No one should be surprised by what's in our blog. Everyone has the option to filter or block any of our tags and are welcome to block us as a blog. But this is our space. You cannot come into our blog and expect us to change because you don't like what we do or don't allow.

The price of anonymity is hate, ragebait, and controversial takes. We accept that price to provide a place for anyone and everyone to share opinions and takes honestly and without fear of personal backlash. We handle that for you, and yes we have gotten a few hate messages for allowing different things like this both in the past and recently. They are deleted and not posted.

If you don't like all the negativity you are more than welcome to leave. There are other confession blogs that have stricter posting guidelines as well as positivity focused blogs as well. We will be continuing to posting and tagging as we have and we will not be restricting any cam asks unless they violate our previously established posting boundaries.

Like genuinely how annoying and entitled must you be to start acting like you have absolute authority over a space you just entered due to nepotism filled with people who’ve been in the fandom for half a decade lol.

Anyways the more interesting thing is that he clearly lurks on those blogs and got butthurt by some hater ask about him if he has such a strong opinion on em, which probably means way more hermit-adjacent CCs lurk more than you’d think. Do you think Gems seen all the divorce speculation shit LMAO

I’ve spent some time in some absolutely fuvked up places in the mcyt fandom and seen some crazy shit. I’m not even saying this to be mean but if someone told me they were an ardent cambam fan it’d put me off more than anything else I’ve ever seen because that is an industry plant. literally the matcha Dubai labubu of CCs. I already dislike Scott so of course he had to go and get an even more annoying partner

i like scott, but i can’t stand cambam. HEAVY on the industry plant thing. he just showed up one day and his only character trait is acting entitled to give out commands and reprimands to his nonexistent fandom

just saw cambam, the nepo boyfriend of mcyt, complaining about confession blogs. well here is a grand idea for you cam: how about don’t go to fandom spaces clearly not meant for you? the concept of a cc wanting to police fan spaces instead of doing the work themself of curating their online experience is baffling. the discussion around ccs trying to get fics taken off of ao3 because they didn’t like them was just as ridiculous as this. if you don’t want people saying anything about you don’t be a cc. otherwise don’t go to spaces that are made for fans. this whole thing is ridiculous and fully the fault of all these minecraft youtubers who want to profit off the parasocial relationships that they foster but then get so mad when fans “go too far”. what is too far? you can’t decide after the fact that something bothers you and then punish fans for it when you wanted that kind of attention until you didn’t. get a grip.

oh my god i was never a dsmp fan (because i was a contrarian teenager and wanted to be different) but I always held a soft spot for Niki because she seemed so sweet and I related to her reservedness. I check back in on her and she's somehow become a typical vapid LA partyfluencer who thinks that having an "aesthetic" will make up for the emptiness of her personality, hanging out with Zach Justice and his ilk.

Genuinely WHAT is it about LA that shrivels people's souls and turns them into empty husks, I've seen it happen so many times to both CCs I used to watch and irl friends/acquaintances, it's like the air in that city is permanently laced with some kind of mind-altering substance. I've seen people talk about how the influencer scene ruined LA and theyre probably right because pre-2010 LA seemed less evil from what I've seen in books/movies

here's a link to the song i did see it on instagram like two days ago, but i don't have any huge opinions on it. it's not BAD, but it doesn't really feel unique enough to stream. maybe it'll be better once i hear the whole thing? her voice sounds very autotuned and i think that the instrumental is too loud compared to her voice, but i think it could be good with less autotune and lyrics that are less general. music COULD be an avenue for her, i'm not writing it off just yet. hopefully it's just this first song that's a little rough around the edges
