Night sketch. Maybe I‘ll colour it, I quite like the pose.

Levitas the Winchester
As a courier and a non-fighting breed, I figured Winchesters would be built lean and light for quick and fast flights.
Poor little Levitas. The dragon who tried with all his heart.
( It’s been a while, but I have no intentions of abandoning this yet! I haven’t even finished with the dragons of book 1! )
Levitas from The Temeraire Series by Naomi Novik
Taking a quick detour from the headshots. Have a baby Kulingile, aka the blimp. I’ll draw adult Kulingile later.
For non-readers, this is 100% canon. Little Kulingile hatched under-developed, so when his airsacs finally inflated he blew up like a balloon. They had to tie a rope around his foot to keep him from floating away.
Come on, everyone’s gotta love Arkady. Cause he is the boss. Or atleast he believes so.
Funny how ferals being the least descriptive breed turned out to be the most fun.
Much better sketch of the lady Iskierka. I’ll admit if I had the chance to captain a dragon, it would be a Kazilik.
An anglewing!
I honestly love how this design turned out. I have a hard time coming up with some of the patterns and color schemes for some of the breeds, butt his one came to me right away!
This is my take on Lien! I've drawn Temeraire already, so I modified the line art to do Lien as well. I think she's beautiful!
is this WOF? (just pretend that it counts please)
Yellow reapers make me go silly
put some color on a late-night Iskierka sketch i made months ago
Bastille in the Nico Marlet style (or at least. an attempt at it)
One day I’ll be able to do more than just sketch Temeraire dragon ideas… because oh man let me tell you about all the anatomy/composition/color/species variations/everything ideas I have for these guys.
So far there’s only about 4 or 5 that I have solid headcanons for, but I love pondering over the rest… making charts to track what was crossed with what… scouring the books for descriptions… yep.
DARGONS???
I’ve had a huge love affair with the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik, and I’ve been wanting to take a stab at creating my own head-canons for the dragon designs for a really long time. That very first moleskine page is from 2010 I think.
Tons of other life things have prevented me from pursuing it, but the sketches leak out every now and then. Maybe some day I’ll get to finish them!
As you can see my favorites are the Kaziliks.
I saw recently that some of my ancient Temeraire art got found again and that makes me so happy because I still have SO MANY ideas for the dragons from those books.
Also I’m trying my best to somehow catch the attention of the folks turning it into an animated series (if that is still happening, who knows these days in the world of animation).
Anyway glad that people are still enjoying these!
I’ve got a sneaking suspicion I won’t be able to work on these for a really long time because school is just around the corner. So I’m going to tease you all with some more Temeraire art.
The Temeraire Series and its dragons belongs to Naomi Novik. These designs are just my own headcanons.
Misfortune in white.
Figured it was time to give my favourite character some love! I absolutely loved the scene from the ending of Naomi Novik's Victory of Eagles. Its been in my head for some time.
Go check out Temeraire if you haven't already!

It's a Parnassian from Temeraire! Her design was inspired by the northern lapwing and butterflies of the Parnassius genus.
