Plum blossoms aren't remotely as dramatic as cherry blossoms. You can walk past without noticing them, until their fragrance catches your attention. Yet these stubborn, understated, introverted little trees, like the blustery haru-ichiban (first strong southerly winds of spring), are a clear sign that winter is on its way out. I snapped these in my neighbourhood this morning.
