send me a ✄ for my character’s reaction to yours walking in on them in the middle of killing someone.
Truly, the Argonian was always rather careful whenever he dealt with a contract, every detail almost meticulously planned over and scrutinized to the smallest degree. All down to make certain the assassin could get in and out with the fewest errors possible. but even with that said, there were times when things happened that he couldn’t have even hoped to account for. And this, this was most certainly one of those times.
The assassin’s blade has just been retrieved from his contract’s flesh when Nor suddenly becomes aware of a noise behind him, and quick as a flash he whirls to respond to it, his dagger already raised to deal another killing blow. But instead he finds himself halting to a stop, Nor’s eyes going quite wide when he sees just who has walked in on him. “Aerybel?” A step is taken backward and the dagger lowered, Nor’s gaze glancing back down towards the body before it returns to the womer. His features are blank, unreadable. Almost as if he is waiting for her reaction before he even attempts to explain the scene.
The barest ghost of a smile passes over Nor’s features at that, though just as swiftly as the motion appeared it was gone once again. “Of that, my dear, I am well aware. And it is made all the easier when one is able to simply disappear from sight.” The assassin raises his hand at that, a dull violet glow starting to form over its surface. “Now go on, I will lay the barest hint of a trail in the opposite direction of your wanderings. Cannot have you taking the fall for me when you have done nothing but been in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Aerybel thought for a moment and looked at his hand when it glowed, a bit intrigued by his abilities. The elf gave him a single nod and was ready to turn and leave. However, before she did, she told him, "Be careful." Aerybel took a deep breath and walked to the doorway, taking a quick look outside to make sure there was no one before she made her way, hoping that there wouldn't be anyone in his path, or hers
