I'm loving this new trend of people going to zoos and participating in animal enrichment. We use to observe large exotic animals for our entertainment, but the fact is that we are now trying to make ourselves equally as entertaining for them. It's interactive, completely parpicipatory and I would argue that eventually someone's gonna come up with something new enough that it expland ethologists understanding about how some animals think, problem solve, communicate and feel and I think its fantastic.

This reminded me of a story from my youth.

When I was a freshman in high school, my class (the freshmen) got the most cans for a food drive. Part of our prize was that the principal hired a comedian to come do a set for us. He was actually pretty good and I really enjoyed it. I wish I could remember his name or anything about him except for the end of his set.

His last joke was “And before I go, I have one more joke for all the psychics in the audience.” and held his microphone to his forehead for a couple seconds.

I thought it was clever, and I have a really easy laugh, so I laughed.

I was the only one who got it. And the only one who laughed. At the joke specifically for the psychics in the crowd.

And anyway, that’s why my entire high school thought I was psychic for like a month.

You know what I like about this? Without the make-up Azula looks like Zuko. She has the same chin, the same cheek bones, the same smile, and even the same look of hurt when she’s shamed by her father.  But the make-up makes her look like Ozai. A fitting allegory all things considered.
