What Story Will You Create?

In the land of Calligra, a Skulker Inkling stalks an innocent Nib!

Using our rich, multi-layered deco system, you can use different background pieces, skies, clouds, trees, flora, fauna, pets and mini pets to create your own completely unique scenes!  Each deco piece can be moved around and resized, as can the pets and mini pets!  The above is an example of an Inkling pet/companion and a Nib mini pet, both of which are slated for release in the land of Calligra some time during Alpha or Beta release.

Forage in the Meadow!

The meadow is one of the foraging environments of Khimeros Caldera.  When you enter the meadow and click around, you reveal a variety of items and can choose to pay the environmental tax to pick them up, or leave them where they are and look for a new item.  Some items are more rare than others!  Foraged environment items are used to complete quests and for crafting items.  You may also be able to find special limited edition items while foraging, that are used for a variety of site activities or redeemable for companions (pets) and items!  There is no limit to the amount of time you can spend foraging.  Other foraging environments currently found in Khimeros Caldera are the beach and the forest.

Khimeros Caldera

The Land

The first land we’ll explore is Khimeros Caldera!  Khimeros Caldera is unique in that it is the only land in all of Aethria that is not composed of floating islands.  Aethria is a sky-based world that floats high above the Khimeros mainland in moving clouds of aquos, a mist-like suspensory substance.  As this land is a “mini” version of my first site, www.khimeros.com, site lore states that it exists in the caldera of an extinct volcano that is the highest point of land on the Khimeros mainland.  It is the only peak tall enough to pierce the aquos and thus become part of Aethria.  Khimeros Caldera can be reached from the mainland by very experienced climbers, by flight, or, if you can convince Arabasti to let you use it, via a steep lava tube within the mountains!

What is Aethria, anyway?

Aethria is an expanding virtual world populated by myriad flora, fauna, lands, and cultures.  It is a (mostly) peaceful world where inhabitants and visitors enjoy sharing and blending their cultural heritage, where there is a robust trading tradition, and where human and humanoid beings form strong attachments to creature companions.

From a member’s perspective, Aethria offers multiple lands that each offer a different blend of game play, and different types of companions (pets) to create or collect in different ways!  In this way we hope there will be something for everyone to enjoy! 

When the site enters alpha release, there will be three lands available to members - Khimeros Caldera, Aluriya, and Calligra.  We will explore these lands in more detail in upcoming posts!
