Hello Beckoryers!!

it's that time of year again! with August coming up I (@puhpandas) felt the beckory week energy again. so here we are!

the week will run from August 17th to August 23rd. I'm announcing it this early so everyone has plenty of time over the summer to make things at their own pace, especially with artfight rolling around =) and with pax west soon after the end of this fanweek, I'm hoping it can also be a sort of fun leadup to hopefully some steel wool news!

Here is an explanation of how the prompts work. don't overthink it!

Rules:

No NSFW or suggestiveness, even for timeskip prompts. the character are preteens. be normal if depicting them kissing, etc. I won't reblog if I feel something is too much

HASHTAG and MENTION #beckory week 2026 and this blog in every submission so I can actually see it and reblog to this blog!

Tag any potentially triggering content! like blood etc. for anyone worried I'll be tagging reblogs of submissions with warnings no matter what

making submissions for every single day is not needed! you could do just 1 day or all 7, even multiple per day and it'd all be perfectly fine!

Doomed siblings have me on a chokehold in a way no trope can ever achieve. Something so gut wrenchingly beautiful about two kids going through unimaginable trauma and coming out damaged forever. I always eat it up. Maybe they stay together and find solace only in each other, used and kicked out by society! Maybe they end up on opposite sides of the war! Maybe they end up betraying one another! Maybe one of them dies haunting the narrative forever! Maybe one of them destroys the world for the other! So many endless tragic possibilities!

SAW AU — JEREMIAH FITZGERALD

Jeremiah is on his own. He's an independent investigator and works in the shadows, keeping to himself. He's very involved in the Jigsaw case and is in an unofficial partnership with his best friend Mike (the only detective he really trusts).

Jeremiah is very kind and pretty optimistic despite being in the heart of the worst of humanity sometimes. While he doesn't love his job he sees it as his obligation to use his skills for good and closure. However, despite his light personality he can be very confrontational and secretive. Sometimes even letting his personal opinions bias his investigation.

It's his compassion that differentiates him from Mike. They have both been hardened by their jobs in different ways and it's that exact reason why they were so drawn to each other.

Trivia:

Abby's other brother-figure. He actually taught her most of her photography and investigation skills.

Complicated relationship with Vanessa ... it's really strange.

His hearing is a little off due to a scuffle he had while on the job.

Something I think about a lot with the Three Star Fam is how I honestly don't think they would have let Freddy stay just a head for very long...

I feel like they'd both want to give him as much autonomy as possible, even when he's disembodied. Not generally picking him up without asking first, asking him where he wants to be in a room, things like that - Vanessa because she had her own personal freedoms compromised and Gregory having lingering guilt over the upgrades he put on Freddy in the Pizzaplex, as well as them both feeling like they're at fault for him being just a head. I feel like they were probably brainstorming ways to put him back together as soon as the dust settled. By Ruin I really think he'd have a body again
