okay. so.

rapid desp is actually pretty simple. the idea is that we are going to temporarily weaken the sphincter muscles in the urethra and decrease the bladder's capacity. if done correctly, this shouldn't affect either of these for more than maybe a day, if that.

the easiest way to do this is to set aside time where you are able to freely use the bathroom. ideally this should be somewhere around 3-6 hours, but I've managed in as little as 2. some people do more, but in my experience, the longer you prep the longer the effect lingers. if you live a relatively normal life and/or aren't interested in diapering for a while after, i wouldn't do it for longer than 6.

time set aside, you're going to use the bathroom every time you feel an urge, no less than once per hour but more as-needed. this is where the capacity reducing and sphincter weakening happen, because you're prepping yourself to go at the first urge and not to hold. during this time you should drink as usual (or a little more than usual if you don't hydrate well). you don't want to overload yourself, but drinking consistently will prep your kidneys for consistent processing.

when the time is up, use the bathroom one more time. now, continue to drink normally. in around an hour, or sometimes less, you will experience extreme desperation as your kidneys continue to filter water through and your bladder "remembers" not holding. do with this desperation what you will.

this works really great if you have a large bladder capacity that makes holding to failure difficult. the warning: you will still be processing water at that speed for a couple hours (or more if you did 6+ hours of prep). meaning: you will become desperate quickly for the next little while. I'm confident you can guess why this could be a problem. just let yourself slowly return to typical bathroom habits, the effects of rapid desp aren't permanent and if you are normally continent, your body will readjust and your kidneys will slow down.
