HOME + immediate shower with my love + cheesy bagel parcel š„Æ
Last pit stop on the way home and I needed a sweet treat. Tried this flavor of donuts and actually liked them. Maybe a 7/10?
Back to tracking my intake and Iām at 97g of protein for the day!
Only 3 hours away from home!
Road trip lunch and pit stop. Iām so ready to be homeeeee
Breakfast had scrambled egg whites and turkey bacon on the menu š¤øš¼āāļø starting off our travel day home packed with protein!
Last dinner at the beach! Itās been a lot of delicious eats on this trip but omg Iām craving home cooked meals so bad.
And I miss Clay š
Weāre heading out at 8 in the morning, going by a breakfast place on the way out (š«©), then getting started on our 8+ hour drive.
I havenāt weighed myself in over 2 weeks and tbh Iām only mildly curious what the scale says. Getting rid of my compulsory morning check has been really good for me. My body feels good even after a week of vacation eats so Iām sure itās around 140 on the scale once the water weight/sodium are flushed out. And if itās not, it will be soon enough with the way I eat and exercise!
Iām driving the first half of the trip or until whenever we stop for gas and the second half Iām going to be texting with Clay working on what we want to cook next week. Iām 13 days away from my wisdom teeth surgery so I want to balance healthy meals with my favorites before I canāt eat them (or any solids lol) for a little bit.
Went on a beach walk in the rain and then it stopped enough for us to bring our stuff down to eat lunch by the ocean. š
Idk what it is about girls trips that always start falling apart by day 5ish. Iāll have to do a post about it later but itās gotten so tense š¬ which makes me so sad because the first part of it was amazing
Delish breakfast with a fun protein vanilla latte. If you havenāt tried these yet, you should! So tasty. I was able to find this at CVS at the beach but normally I just grab them from Walmart.
Itās storming heavily on our last day at the beach on girls trip 2026. Waiting to see if it clears up and we can head down to enjoy our last day!
Overall it has been a good trip but Iām so ready to be back home.

I hope you're having a great girls beach trip!
I have been observing your overall food choices with fascination. Everything looks delicious and easy! Like I could easily see myself doing food more the way you do. Trying to get in enough veggies and be cognizant of amount of food I'm eating but not feeling hungry all the time is SO much work for me right now. (I'm also at an in person job, so I have to pack lunches and I HATE thinking about it all the time lol) Plus, I love that you still have treats that you enjoy. I am very treat motivated and it's hard to deny myself something I'm really craving. But it's easy to limit amounts, if that makes sense?
How do you prioritize your intake? Is it mostly protein that you pay attention to? You eat SO much fruit and I love fruit! Where does that fit into your thinking? Enjoyment? Fiber? Any excuse to eat more fruit is fine by me lol
I know I need to go talk to a dietician too. But I'm just curious about your food planning and thought processes.

I definitely am someone who thought I would always need larger portions to stay full and itās been a learning process to narrow down the balance of what I need to fuel me, while also not feeling like Iām depriving myself, especially when Iām on vacation.
I typically prioritize protein and then fiber and the combo of those two macros at the proper level keeps me really full. I like to do a smaller breakfast, usually larger lunch, and medium sized dinner. I get the snackiest (historically) between lunch and dinner so by making lunch my larger meal I can stave off some of those cravings. I try to get around 130-135g protein in a day but right now Iām not tracking as strictly as I was in my deficit phase.
For fruit for me, itās 90% enjoyment lol I just love fruit. Having a colorful plate makes me so happy and it also sates the physical act of eating so I can have something between meals without feeling like I need to have lots of snacks prepped or really think about what Iām eating then.
I really do just try to take my favorite meals and make them healthier. Deconstructing recipes and seeing what I need to keep or can replace with an alternative is fun for me, like a puzzle! I also try to combine what I need with what I want. Right now Iām on vacation and my body needs protein and fiber so I prioritize simple easy meals for breakfast and lunch and for dinner I choose something more fun because weāre going out every night. Itās really easy when most of the options are seafood since theyāre such lean proteins as long as you donāt get them fried.

I am not on ozempic or any glp-1. Iāve been on my weight loss journey for a few years now and lost my weight through a combo of a calorie deficit and exercise.

Dinner and ice cream š¤
I was so excited, I found this Hersheys low fat blueberry cheesecake froyo and it was soooooo good.
Dinner was delish! Iāve felt so good about food on this trip. Iāve tried to balance what I want with what my body needs to feel its best and I think Iāve accomplished that without feeling like Iām missing out on anything.
Still no reply from my boss 𤔠heading back to the Airbnb to do my nightly FaceTime with Clay and then try to get some sunset beach pics with the girls.
Didnāt take too many pictures on the island but the snorkeling and shelling excursion was SO much fun.
Weāre headed back to the Airbnb to shower, then getting ice cream before dinner and doing some shopping.
No response from my boss yet but Iām trying not to think about that.
