(Takes place during WoI, but a little after man events.) Oh Dura above!

Azurella was in Rustport after beating Hodgkin and his crew. Hammie and Chippy were asleep, and she was writing her feelings about Sonja in her book. This book helped her remember certain details about her friends and enemies. However, she felt off. She was humming, and as she was writing, made a point to remember Sonja's favorite drink and flowers. Odd. She normally could not recall her own favorite flowers before she lost her memory. However, she didn't seem upset by it. In fact... Azurella seemed happy, almost giddy. Not wanting to wake her familiars, Azurella decided to slip away, putting on her cloak and closing the door quietly. Azurella decided to go on a walk, just to clear her head. Every time she closed her eyes for a second, she thought of Sonja...

"What is going on with me? No, my memory about my past isn't getting better. But I can remember details about her... and why is she-" It did not click in my mind what the real problem was.

She was in love.

"I better ask Sinbad." She went to find Sinbad. Once she found him, Azurella pulled him to the side and started shaking him. "Sinbad, I think I have a problem!" Sinbad thankfully wasn't too mad. After calming down and explaining it, she looked away for second "and I wonder if you knew..." She looked back and looked at Sinbad, "what? Why are you smiling? Do you... know something I don't? Why are you... hey! Not funny!"

Now she was even more confused.

And honestly ... Sinbad is almost surprised Azurella hasn't talked about this sooner. Like, she is the Magister, one would think she'd know what's going on with her emotions, right?

Not when it comes to telltale signs of being in love, apparently.

"Probably nothing important", he thinks to himself as he shrugs and walks to his personal trunk. Just, you know, to check if anything seems amiss.

He has half expected a prank, knowing how Francis likes to tease him.

But he actually jumps when he sees the dang inverted plushie of him jumping out towards his face with its trademark "YOHA!"

And of course, the reaction after is lighthearted, as he catches the mini in his arms as it playfully wiggles about.

Azurella was currently taking a break from writing in her journal, to make herself some food. She was currently making chicken Al â king without the peppers.

She sees a hand reach for a spoon, “Don’t even think about it Sinbad, it’s not done.”

Her journal, which was on the table, had details about one of her past spells: A spell that turned a person’s dreams into a drink. She, currently was wondering why the hell she made that spell in the past. Anyone could make the spell, she noted that it does not mean they should.

Azurella had no clue her diary was being read.

Chuckling as Sinbad retracts his hand from the spoon—can't help it when the smell of the food is already so nice!— His eyes then briefly glance over at the opened page of Azurella's journal.

He knows not to read someone's diary, though this was an accidental glimpse ... And he can't help but take note of the magic spell in question.

Inside that very tavern, Francis laughs to himself as the light atmosphere embraces the interiors. His cheeks lightly flushed as one of his hands held a decent mug filled with liquor. On top of his hair, the inverted Sinbad plushie snuggled on the strands. Seemingly sleeping.

Upon seeing Sinbad, Francis ocean eyes lit up as he greeted with a cheery smile and a wave.

"Sinbad, hey! How's my handsome Captain been~"

There are those flushed cheeks and that adorable grin again. A part of Sinbad can't help but think, aside from the inverted colors and the noises, the plushie is just as mischievous as him. He has come to warm up to its presence, too. After knowing it's safe to keep, that is.

"I did~ But then I got bored so I took some odd jobs here and there to entertain myself with. Especially with this cutie," He scratched the head of the mini with his index finger, blue eyes softened.

The mini, upon being scratched affectionately, leans more into his touch with a melted expression.

Hearing his suggestion, Francis chuckles as he thinks over the last couple of days. "Tritonus, where do I begin? Guess I've been busy since we last saw each other. Aside from the usual cargo transport and passenger check, there has been an increase of students as passengers since they need to get to their schools all over Esperia. Especially the Serene Lyceum. I heard an important event is happening over there."

The brunette grins as he recalls a funny situation. "One time at sea, there was this student that tried to grow out their hair with a potion they have. Turns out, it was super effective that it covers their entire body! It takes some help to cut it all off.."

His ocean gaze lit up more behind his lensless bifocals as he stared eagerly at Sinbad. "Oh, and there's more..!"

This might take a while... At least, Francis had fun 💙

Letting out a little chuckle at the funny situation Francis mentioned, the Captain then takes a sip of the alcohol.

"Lastly," Francis muses himself as he leans against Sinbad with a smile. "There's this interesting student attending the Lyceum that I sent over. From what I remember, his name is Noctis and he's a mute! Oh, uhm, I didn't mean this in a bad way.."

The brunette scratches his cheek with his finger, a sheepish look plastered on his face. "I mean, it's amazing that despite his lack of voice, he can communicate with anyone with his magical book where the ink disappears when he finishes speaking! Although a bit of a loner from what I could see, he always seems to make sure no one accidentally goes overboard. Even though I never saw his magic up close, I can tell he's gonna be an amazing mage!"

Francis beamed, admiring the young student he transports overseas. "I hope he's gonna be okay, though. He does look stressed last I saw him," he hummed before turning to Sinbad. Giggling under his breath, he leans in and kisses his cheek. "So, what about you? How is my handsome Captain doing?"

His gaze gleamed affectionately.

As for me, as fun as things have been, there is something ... questionable.

Me and a close friend just recently found a plushie that looks like me! Can you believe it? Since you're a Magister, that may not be weird to you ... But here's the catch! Not only can this thing make noises and move on its own, but the colors it's got don't look like me at all.

My friend wants to keep it, and I agree it looks pretty cute, but I wanna check and see if it's all good first. I have a feeling magic made it sort of ... alive, but we definitely need a mage with a keen eye to make sure ...

Aelius perks up the moment he hears Sinbad's voice, directing his attention to the savant with his usual smirky-smile.

"Ah Sinbad, just the refreshing sight I need~ I've been fine. Just taking a break from helping Hugin with his fish-blaster."

A brow raised upon hearing 'questionable' from the captain as he listens to Sinbad explain the situation with his weird, inverted wooly miniature self- that would also be presented to him for the Carmine Devil to look over.

"Oh yeah, magic's in this fella alright. It's nothing major though, only enough to give it sentience and too weak to do anything crazy beyond crawling and grabbing stuff." The Hypo Magister tells as the plushie wriggles in his hold. Eventually, he let's the little critter cling onto one hand. "I definitely believe it. You should see this one room in my brother's Mystical House, he has a TON of these moving little things making alot of noise. Plushies of all the people we know.. if there's someone, they're guaranteed to have a matching wooly friend whether they like it or not."

He then adds with a mischievous chuckle before pulling something out from his hair, "Besides, I have one of my own too. I think you'll know this guy better. Say hello to-"

"AHOY!"

"YOHA!"

Lo and behold, a Mini-Sinbad that actually matches the real deal.. and repeats his greeting like it's the only word it knows. Clearly enthralled to meet a brethren.

Sinbad stares at the two plushies of himself, expression clearly akin to a confused puppy, then looks at the Hypo Magister. Surely he will find this reaction adorable, at least.

He just keeps staring at the two plushies, which are just "chatting" away in a kind of language only they know and understand. Maybe just let them be for a while, as he might as well try to get to the bottom of this with Aelius ...

┈➤ That's that, but my friend also said he just found it around the port, and ... we don't know how it got there. Do plushies like that happen to just ... magically appear at random places?

"You're always welcome, doll~" The Hypo Magister replies flirtatiously as he too watches the plushies become quick friends with each other. Yammering away about things only stuffed creatures know.

"And about that? Ah, well in our case, majority of the plushies are delivered to the Mystical House's doorstep. But these fellas specifically?" He gestures to the original Mini-Sinbad, "Found out this one has a weird knack for teleporting to the most randomest places. Most times when you don't expect it." He then looks over to BadSin, "Perhaps this odd one out is the same too, and it happened to teleport right where you friend can see it."

"AHOY!"

┈➤ So these guys tend to teleport to random places ... Maybe it's because they mimic me with my compass.
