Leon S. Kennedy x Reader
tags: fluff, wound tending, escape, oneshot, resident evil, zombies
"Don't move," he whispers against your hair as he presses his palm over your mouth. Leon Kennedy aims his gun right at the closed door of the room he shoved you both into. This cramped, small storage closet that could barely be called a room. Your finger hovers over the trigger of your gun as you grip it with the last remaining strength in your shaking hands.
A drop of sweat runs down your neck, and as another one of his hot breaths hits your damp skin, it makes you shiver. You can hear the gargling sounds of the enemies nearby – still, he doesn't seem fazed by it in any way. His broad chest steadies you as you involuntarily lean back against it, giving in to the wave of pain surging through your abdomen.
You wince quietly against his hand covering your mouth, your eyes closing for a second longer than normal. You try to breathe in deeply through your nose – the stinging smell of rotten flesh and burning plastic startling you awake quickly. A muffled, pained moan escapes your lips, making him furrow his brows as he looks down at your contorted expression and his hand moves from your mouth to your jaw.
Leon's eyes scan your face, his voice low and rough, "You okay?"
"Mmh," you hum, masking your tense expression with a slight nod, "Yeah."
He doesn't seem convinced you were alright – noticing your shaking hands, your uneven breathing, and your strained voice. He's almost sure he knows what this is – he had seen it far too often before.
In the darkness, illuminated only by a thin band of light creeping through the crack in the door, he can see the sweat glinting on your forehead, your cheeks and your lips. Dust particles float like glitter in your half-lidded eyes, and you can't help but lean more against him as they close again.
The sounds, distorted screams, almost-words, and feet dragging over rubble slowly grow quieter. Still, it's not safe to step outside. You need to stay hidden until the enemies are truly gone. You need to stay conscious until then. Just a little nap.
Your eyes close again – longer this time.
In this small space, the air feels thick enough to cut through – it's stuffy, hot, and humid. Your breathing grows harder with each inhale. You feel a hand at your neck, but you're too busy trying to stay awake to react.
"Hey, don't fall asleep on me," the voice rumbles against your back.
You drift in and out of consciousness, and as you do so, your body betrays you – your knees buckle and you slump against the man who has saved your life more times today than you'd like to admit. Leon's arm wraps around your waist, his other still outstretched, aimed at any possible intruder.
He grumbles under his breath as he feels you slipping from his hold, "Fuck..."
As he looks down, he realizes your earlier behavior wasn't just exhaustion mixed with fear and minor injuries. The blood soaking his fingers from the wound in your abdomen tells a different story. You're seriously hurt.
Leon shuffles backward – two, maybe three steps, all the space the closet allows – dragging you with him before sliding down against the moldy, crumbling wall.
Your gun slips from your hand as he lowers you slightly, your head resting against his shoulder while you mumble feverish words.
His palm cups your cheek gently, the slight pressure at your neck making your lashes flutter.
"Mh – " you groan, your voice hoarse as your lips struggle to form words, "Mh srio – sly soO..." you sigh as your head drops, your forehead brushing his cheek, "...ti – red."
Leon doesn't move. He exhales sharply. He isn't ready. He would never be ready to watch someone die.
That's why he has to prevent this. Whatever it takes.
Your arm lies across your stomach, covering part of the open wound. He looks at it, carefully adjusting your head against his shoulder as he listens to your breathing.
He gently lifts your hand, placing it on his thigh, then pauses. His lips press into a thin line as he listens for movement outside. The enemies seem to be moving away since there's been no signs of anyone nearby. At least, he hopes so.
Motionless, you lie in his arms as he pushes up your ruined shirt. It's soaked with blood – deep crimson staining the dark green pattern that covered it. Leon's fingers move cautiously around the torn skin. He applies light pressure, testing the wound and pushes down gently.
On your waist, he then tries to pull the edges together with his fingers – the wound is too deep. It needs to be stitched or else you're not going to survive.
He clicks his tongue, already scanning the room for anything usable.
On the top shelf beside the door, a medikit catches his eye. He starts to lower you for just a minute – just to grab the first aid package.
Suddenly, you jolt awake. Your lungs fill with air as an agonizing scream tears from your throat – the pain that shoots through your body indescribable. Everything is pulsing with pressure. Pain and Terror. Right as you start to cry out, instinctively, his hand shoots up, covering your mouth again.
"AAANNnnnggghhhh – " the muffled cry echoes through the small space.
Leon's pulse spikes as he hopes the enemies aren't alerted and back again. Your fist crumples the fabric on his chest as you cling to him, the pain threatening to consume you again. You pull him closer by his shirt unintentionally. The tears start to well in your eyes, your vision blurring as you lock onto his blue-grey gaze. It's the only thing that can distract you from the stinging in your stomach. They look like an ocean crashing waves on a stoney beach in the blue hour.
He does his best to sound steady as he holds your gaze, your faces only inches apart, "I got you. Don't try to move yet."
His eyes flick over your face but linger too long when they catch the pain in your expression.
"Stay with me, okay?" he adds, softer now, his hand slowly leaving your mouth, "Just... stay right here."
Your lips tremble and you're still fixed on his eyes as you try to nod and the tears are now about to spill onto your cheeks. Gently, he leans you against the wall and you try to focus your blurry vision on him retrieving the medikit. It feels like hours before he kneels before you again.
Silently, he zips open the little bag, hoping to find a needle and thread in there – preferably, disinfectant, bandages, and gauze too. He has done this countless times before, on himself too, so it wouldn't be a big deal. For you, on the other hand, it would. You had never been stitched before, and he obviously can't know that.
You try to slip back against the cupboard as he prepares the needle, fabric, and disinfectant. Your whole body trembles as he moves closer again. Leon leans against the musty wall, paint crumbling onto his dark shirt, as he attempts to move you in front of him again.
You move back as soon as you see him reaching over. He sees the fear in your eyes as his fingers softly brush your shoulder, "You don't need to look at it. Just focus on me, alright?"
You relax slightly. He positions you between his legs so you can lean back against him while he stitches.
"I'll be quick. You won't even have time to complain about it, " he says quietly, and you almost notice a faint smile adorning his lips as he carefully lifts you, "Promise."
You nod, biting your lip.
"Keep your eyes on me."
As the needle pierces your skin again and again, your face and jaw keep tensing – the pain almost unbearable. You obey, focusing only on him – his eyes, his hair, his stubble, his lips. It feels like a fever dream, this man tending your wounds in a moldy, stuffy closet somewhere in Raccoon City while the city burns outside.
The building has been quiet for the last minutes, and you're both convinced the enemies have retreated.
Until —
A loud bang startles you.
Leon looks up from the final step – bandages.
You look around, and you feel panic set in again. Scrambling for your gun, you try to move away from him but you just can't escape his grip. He's holding you too tight.
"Please," you grit out as you whip your head around to him, "I don't want to die here."
"You're not going to die here," he says quickly, still composed, even as outside crashes and screams rise.
You whisper-scream at him, your voice a quiet shriek, "What makes you so sure about that?! They're gonna find us if we stay!! And if they find us, we – "
"Hey," he cups your cheeks, "Panic is not helping. You are not going to die."
"You need to go!" you insist, handing him your gun, pushing his hands off your face.
Leon looks away, his hands dropping to his sides as he gets on his knees, evaluating the situation. The voices are getting louder again. The enemies are closer than before. He needs to –
"Leon, you need to go without me," you plead, voice cracking with each word, "I'll only be a burden... I can't even walk. You'll die if you stay." You grab onto his arm, studying his face one last time.
You shake your head and press a soft kiss onto his lips, lingering there for a heartbeat, "Go. You deserve to live."
His eyes burn into yours and there's not a hint of hesitation this time. His expression hardens and he kisses you again before swooping you into his arms. Your surprised, "No!" doesn't hold him back one bit.
Carrying you, he kicks open the door as you snake an arm around his shoulder and neck to hold onto him. He shoots down enemies, one after another with precision, as he storms through the building. You bury your face in the crook of his neck, "You can't do that!"
He runs, his words interrupted by ragged breaths, "As you can see," he sighs, "... I can."
Your fingers trace his lips as he slows near the outskirts of the city. The sun sets, dust reflecting the orange hue on the open steel that peeks through the buildings blinds your eyes as your gaze sweeps over the across destroyed city. The debris covers all of the streets and Leon lifts you over a concrete block into the safe zone.
You crawl over, inspecting your home for the night. The room is old, but still in good shape – the window is broken but the sunlight shining through the shattered glass makes you see patterns on the wall across from it. You lean against the old and rusty bedframe as Leon joins you.
He brushes his hand through your hair before sitting opposite you. For a second, he just stays there, catching his breath, eyes scanning the room out of habit – just making sure you're safe.
He quietly pauses, the air feels heavier than before as his gaze lingers on you.
"Next time," he says, his voice still rough from the run, "Don't ask me to leave you behind."
You slowly exhale, and the tension melts off for the first time in a few hours. The warmth of his skin makes you relax and in the middle of chaos and destruction, it feels like the world has turned into this quiet, unique moment between just the two of you.
I love you so much Qifrey

Another work day. You're slowly but surely going to loose your mind about the case you're working on. It's been dragging on for weeks at this point and you don't think your colleagues take it as seriously as you do.
Well, maybe Higuruma does. Nanami not so much - that guy would not be doing overtime if his life depended on it.
"How's it going? Any updates on that case?" you ask, setting down your coffee mug, the steam swirling in the air. Both men let out heavy sighs before one of them replies, "No, we're still stuck where we left off yesterday."
Higuruma swivels his chair to face you, "Yeah, because you," he glances at Nanami, "will not stay any second longer than absolutely necessary."
Your gaze shifts to Nanami as you grab your coffee and take one - far too hot - sip, silently cursing your impatience.
"Well, if you handled your tasks efficiently, you could also leave work on time, just like me," Nanami points his pen at him and raises a brow.
You suppress a small smile and turn back to sit down at your own desk and dive into work - hopefully finally making progress. The sun sneaks through the blinds, the early morning greeting you perfectly while you start your computer.
Higuruma's dark hair seems almost luminous as the light hits it just right and he drags his hand over his face, muffling his deep voice, "Yeah, shut it."
The small office fills with the steady clacking of keyboards as you all start to type away, focusing on your tasks. The silence stretches into the afternoon, there's only a few quiet arguments back and forth about the topic of the next trial and your strategy for it.
You eat lunch at your desk - a few onigiris in silence - when the sky outside starts to darken. Thick grey clouds begin to form and they block out the sun.
You open the blinds and both guys look up briefly, acknowledging the weather, without being impressed or reacting any further. "Looks like it's about to rain, huh?" you murmur to no one in particular.
"Mhh," Nanami hums without looking up. "I don't mind," the other man responds as he rises from his seat, "I like how it feels when you're walking in the rain without shelter. It soaks through your clothes and hair. Kind of clears my head."
You and Nanami exchange a look of disbelief. "You like it when your clothes are wet?!" you repeat, the amusement in your voice evident. He faces you, gaze flicking between you and Nanami, "Yeah... is that weird? Am I weird?"
Your eyes meet Nanami's, then you look back at Higuruma. In unison, you respond, "Yeah."
He shakes his head and returns back to his desk, slumps down on his chair and sighs loudly. Suddenly, raindrops already begin to patter against the window and the sky darkens more and more as thunder rolls in.
The clock strikes 7 pm.
The rain is still drumming on the glass outside while you're still buried in the documents you need to sort through, making notes, taking screenshots and researching. The other two men in the room have been silent since that one conversation. The only sound that filled the room these last hours was typing and the scratching of pens on paper. Your focus is unwavering, you're all determined to find every possible way to help the man that was wrongfully convicted.
You sigh and stand up - your chair starts to roll back a few inches. Your voice comes out hoarse when you announce you're going to need coffee if you want to finish this paperwork tonight. Dragging your feet along the carpet, you make your way to the glass door sheltering you from the other coworkers.
The office is almost empty after 5 pm, usually everyone is off at that time. The offices down the hallway are dark and the harsh fluorescent light above only illuminates the long way to the small kitchen of this floor.
You open the door, only to hear a loud groan behind you.
Upon turning around, you stare into Higuruma's terrified face and the black screen in front of him.
Your gaze flickers back and forth. "What happened?"you ask, glancing between them. Nanami turns around in his swiveling chair with a blank expression, just like the black monitor opposite of him.
"Did you turn it off?"
Higuruma shoots him a glare, annoyance clearly etched across his face.
Now you fully turn around, forget about the coffee and rush over to his computer as well. All of you frantically press every button on the keyboard, you click the mouse, you try to start it up again - nothing. For about half an hour all three of you try everything humanly possible to get the computer to work again but still - nothing.
On all fours, you crawl under Higuruma's desk, unaware he subtly rolls his chair back. You unplug and reconnect cables, knees scraping against the carpet.
You unplug and replug the cables for another twenty minutes, your knees scraping against the carpet.
"Is it working?" you yell out to the men standing in front of the desk. "Nothing," Nanami sighs wearily.
Higuruma runs his hands through his hair, pressing them against his face in frustration. "If this thing isn't working..." he groans in frustration. You peek out from under the desk, "We'll need to wait for IT to fix it tomorrow. I don't know if it won't start if they can recover the data, though."
"Which means, everything is gone. Great," he drops his hands and turns his back to you.
Nanami takes a sip of the cup of coffee behind him on the table, quietly judging when he whispers, "You've been screwing up all evening, so it's not surprising."
Higuruma snaps back and his jaw tenses, "What? I haven't."
"Of course you have. I saw you deleting the draft, saving over that evidence file and now you fry the computer."
The two are now only a few inches apart tension and the tension is radiating as they argue over trivial matters - yet you notice an odd undertone simmering beneath the surface. Men.
Nanami's voice cuts through the tension, "There's a reason everything went downhill today, and I think we both know what it is."
Higuruma falls silent as he glares at Nanami, pretending to not know what he means. You remain kneeling, absorbed in the confrontation.
"Because," he says after a pause, moving the chair between them out of the way, "every time she walks through that door, you stop functioning like a normal person."
You want to jump up, bumping your head lightly into the wood with a loud thud. You're suddenly so caught off guard and don't know how to react. You never saw Higuruma as anything other than a co-worker. Just like Nanami.
You're completely unaware to what kind of feelings have been building underneath that stoic facade for way too long.
They look down to you as attempt to regain your balance, and offer their arms for you to hold onto.
"Excuse me?!" you blurt out, a tad bit flustered.
Higuruma takes another step towards Nanami, his expression remaining unreadable.
"Was that really necessary?" he grits through his teeth. Nanami's expression stays calm - no indication of being angry. A stark contrast to Higuruma and the intensity he radiates right now.
"Can't handle the truth?" he asks, inclining his head, his voice edged with quiet challenge.
The sudden confession catches you completely off guard, "Is that true? Higuruma, why did you never say anything?"
For a moment he doesn't answer. He exhales slowly and takes a step back, running a hand through his hair.
Finally, he responds, "Because he," he gestures loosely to Nanami, "Has been in love with you since the day you started working here."
The room seems to warp around you, the walls suddenly too close, the air too thick to breathe. Your thoughts are scattered, refusing to form any coherent sentence. Nausea curls in your stomach and a wave of dizziness rushes through you.
You need to get out.
Now.
You barely take three steps before Higuruma's hand closes around your hip and Nanami catches your wrist to stop you. Whirling around, your gaze flicks from one man to the other. Both are watching you closely, their expressions heavy with unspoken confessions.
Without a word, they guide you back between them. One step. Then another. Until you're standing exactly where you were standing before.
With confusion written on your face, you back up until your thighs bump into the edge of the desk. Your gaze still darts between them, but finally you manage to speak, "Why... Why did neither of you tell me?"
Nanami slowly releases your wrist as he studies your expression carefully, "We didn't want to get you into a precarious position."
"But it's true," he says quietly, drawing in a long breath.
"Sorry for not telling you," Higuruma's hand goes up to your face and brushes down your cheek, down your jaw and halts on the side of your neck. He steps closer, his leg now snug against yours. Nanami's lips press into a thin line as his hand wraps around your waist and rests on the small of your back. He's pushing up your dress shirt slightly. His fingers brush against your exposed skin, sending tingles all over it.
"Really sorry," Nanami mutters, his voice hoarse.
He glances up to Higuruma - whose fingers creep further down to your shoulder, tracing the nape of your neck beneath the shirt's fabric.
Higuruma's palm settles right underneath your hairline and his fingers drag up gently, tilting your head toward him. Involuntarily, you let it happen.
You swallow nervously.
"If this is true...," you murmur so quietly it's almost lost, "Then maybe you shouldn't be this close."
You try to get some distance between you, they're close. Too close. You can't focus.
The dim desk lamps that illuminate the room spill the light out through the halfway frosted glass door of your office. The empty hallway seems cold and abandoned now that everyone's gone for the night.
A few beeps interrupt the charged silence. No one pays attention to it, though.
The tiny gap between the three of you hums with tension - no one dared to speak in this stretch of silence.
Higuruma's nose brushes against yours and your lips part as you inhale sharply. Nanami's fingertips slide your shirt out from your skirt, his hand climbing higher along your spine.
"Maybe I shouldn't," he finally admits, his voice strained.
He leans in and you feel trapped.
The office is silent except for uneven breathing. Nanami's grip tightens at your waist while Higuruma's lips linger just a second too long against your skin.
Someone should stop this.
At the same moment Nanami's lips ghost over the tender skin of your neck, Higuruma closes the distance to you. The gentle kiss rushes into greedy need, every thought of his disappearing in desire.
He guides you away from the desk, pinning you between him and Nanami. Almost coordinated, his hands cup your face as Nanami's lips pepper kisses on the back of your neck, down to the crook and over your shoulder.
Your shirt strap slips off, and Nanami tugs it down. It slides lower - lower - until your back is bare and only a scrap of fabric covers your front.
He pulls back, swiftly shrugging off his jacket and tossing it over the back of the chair, where it quietly spins in the dim light, casting shadows across the room.
Rolling up his sleeves, Nanami's fingers glide over your exposed back to your hips. Without breaking his kiss, Higuruma reaches for the zipper of your skirt, and it falls to the floor with a soft thud.
You stand unveiled before them - exposed, naked, to everything but the desperate look in their eyes.
At last consciousness flickers back, sharp and insistent, and your hands go up to the back of Higuruma's neck. Every touch on your body pulses with heat, dizziness washing over you in waves.
Your fingers quickly push off the jacket and it lands on the floor right next to your skirt.
Desperate for control, you grip the fabric of Higuruma's collar to hold onto him as his lips trail down your neck, then your chest and the thin scrap of fabric shielding your breasts slips away, tumbling to the ground. His hands glide over every inch of your skin, mapping your curves with deliberate touches.
He sinks to his knees as his mouth hovers over your stomach, presses featherlight kisses along your hips, across your waist, then lingers at your abdomen.
His fingers hook into the hem of your tights and panties and pulls them down slowly, teasing you.
Nanami grabs your hair and his fist holds it in a ponytail, pulling gently to get you to lean back against him. His arms wrap around your top half and his hands glide down your front, sending shivers through you.
For a moment, the panic ebbs and his touch feels protective, promising you no harm and no shame.
You lean back against Nanami's - now also bare - chest. His hand tightens in your hair, pulling just enough to make you look at him. The hunger in his eyes, paired with his heavy breathing, makes it impossible to doubt that this is really happening. When his lips brush yours, the world seems to fall away, the kiss is slow and controlled, yet warm enough to make your heart race.
The man in front of you savours every moment, he can't stop devouring your body, overwhelmed by every sensation. Every subtle shift in your shows him you secretly enjoy it. Higuruma pushes down the rest of your clothes inch by inch and his excitement just multiplies when he feels your fingers brush through his hair, grabbing a bit tighter as he presses his lips against on your abdomen and inner thighs.
You can only respond with heavy breaths when Nanami breaks his hungry kisses and your hand feels down his muscular chest, down to his sex lines. With quick fingers, you unclasp his belt and open his pants.
There really was no turning back now, your excitement overshadows your anxiety.
Nanami's hand stills over yours for a moment. "Are you sure?" he asks, his voice rougher than before. You try to nod, your head heavy, full of things that cloud your judgement.
Higuruma looks up from in front of you, his gaze flicking over to Nanami's. Their eyes meet as he mutters, "You're going to make this difficult.
You feel Nanami's breath fan your cheek as he exhales softly, closing his eyes.
"It already is."
You glance between them, your pulse racing. The rivalry that had filled the room earlier hasn't disappeared - it's simply changed shape.
Higuruma's hand returns to the back of your thigh as he leans against it, while Nanami's chest is still steadying you from behind. They exchange another glance over your shoulder and instead of a fight, it feels more like a silent challenge now.
Your breath catches when Higuruma leans in again, his lips brushing your inner thigh for just a moment.
"We should stop," you whisper, though the words sound weak even to your own ears.
None of them says anything - and they don't move away either. "I think it's too late for that," Nanami's deep chuckle rumbles against you.
Somewhere in the back of your mind you remember the case, the deadlines, the reason you stayed late in the first place.
But no one seems to care about that anymore as you finally cave and fabric pools around Nanami's ankles and the belt clinks quietly. You look down at Higuruma and see him unbuttoning his dress shirt, exposing his toned chest and hanging loosely over his pants.
He stands up, his fingers brushing over your skin as he does. They linger on your hips and he guides you to turn around gently. The heat rises inside of you as you feel his length pressed against your thighs when he pulls you closer. His fingers glide over your hipbone toward pleasure. Skillfully, he zips open his pants and they drop too.
In the distance, the computer continues to blink impatiently, waiting for someone to finish the work you were supposed to be doing hours ago. The case, the deadlines, the carefully drawn boundaries between colleagues - all of it feels very far away now.
You let out a soft whimper as his fingers find just the right spots, drawing perfect circles that send waves of ecstasy through your body. Nanami's lips meet yours, and you arch your back involuntarily, breaking the kiss with a moan.
Nanami leans to your ear, his voice merely a breath, "Bend over."
Even though they don't seem to agree on anything else, that would be the thing they would agree on.
You obey.
Your lips travel over his chest, they trail fire right down Nanami's abdomen. Your eyes meet his - the lust in them barely containable now. Still holding his gaze, you push down the hem of his underwear and press a soft kiss on the tip.
Higuruma's fingers make your knees buckle as he continues to work that sweet spot, already making you feel impatient for what's coming next. He knows you're ready - he can feel it. His hand leaves the apex of your thighs before he licks your taste off them.
There's only soft moans and the men's groans filling up the dim room as you finally feel Higuruma enter inside you. You gasp, your lips parting as your moan vibrates against Nanami's hard length in your mouth.
He thrusts deeper, the more he realizes how much you enjoy it. Deeper - you hold onto the other's thighs to not fall over. Deeper - he holds onto your body, grabs it and wraps his arms around your waist.
His kisses pepper your back as he pushes inside again and a whimper escapes your throat. Your fingers dig into Nanami's waist as you try to continue. Nanami brushes the hair out of your face - then grabs a fistful to hold it in place.
You melt as you feel Higuruma's hot breath on your skin, his whisper against your neck as he thrusts again, "You're...," and again, "such a...," again, "good girl."
The ride goes higher, the overwhelming sensations getting unbearable as he reaches the peak of his lust. You press your eyes shut as you get pulled up by your hair and you can't suppress the moan that was building up inside you before your release.
You pant, your mouth agape and your tongue sticking out as you wait for the last drop when Nanami releases, heavily breathing.
Your fingers trace the edge of the desk as the city lights outside bleed through the glass. Both of them are quiet now, their hands still lightly brushing yours, and for the first time, you realize this is far from over.
You close your eyes for a moment. Everything that had been unspoken - the tension, the rivalry, the desire - was finally out in the open.
And even though nothing was solved, even though the morning would be complicated, you feel a strange clarity: some lines were crossed, but some truths could no longer be denied.
