Marking this as one of my favorite outfits. The combination of simplicity but rugged was just right. I see my personality in this look. That’s how I often style my looks, with character and with a story. The story behind this is I was in a rushed that I have to think fast on what to wear. One thing is for sure, I have to wear my Superga. I’ve been eyeing to buy this pair for a very long time. And I just got lucky because when I finally decided, it was the last pair. I think this pair was really meant for me because I was saving for it. When things are meant for you it will be.

This is what I love in thrift  shopping, you get surprised of what you can find. I got this sleeveless trench coat for a very low price. And it has become one of my favorite cover up. I went for a very clean and simple look and I was surprised by how classy this outfit turned out. I’m slowly learning this kind of styles since I’m not getting younger. But I would like to still have those playful ensembles that I shared to you guys before but with some tweaks.

Dreaming of changes

The Ber months are here! And for a month and a half, it will be a whole new year again. Ber months are supposed to be a cold season here in the Philippines but the weather has been consistently warm. Not that I’m complaining, it’s just that I’m (and maybe the people are) expecting what we are used too. Changes are always happening. And changes goes hand in hand with time. Time really flies fast, doesn’t it? One day you are a student and now you are working. Haha. Please spare me a little, I’m still digesting the fact that I’m on the stage of independence. But what I love about working and independence is that you get to buy the things that you want, do the things you love and become the person you want. By doing so, we are changing. When we change, our whole world change. And their is nothing wrong with it as long as we remember where we came from. Because our past will never change.

It took me a little while to open my blog again. From the day I started working, my time and energy was consumed in adjustments. If you will ask me, becoming an independent woman takes a lot of molding. Even until now, I’m still coping up with the changes but no matter what hardships there is to be the one you want, it will be worth it. It always does. Along with the changes in my life, I’m trying out styles that are a bit more laid back. What’s more laid back than monochrome. Since it was day of food hunting, comfort is a must! And this is what I come up with. The off shoulder top gave the look a feminine touch. And the short was light and easy to wear making me move freely. Good thing, because we did a lot of walking. Hope you like it!

My personal style for years has something to do with colors and patterns. And  for the past few days where I can go out and be stress free, I became incline on wearing basic ensembles. I look at myself so care free. I realized that a plain shirt and denim jeans or shorts can never make you look less. It’s actually making you showcase your personality on the most most simplest way. In other words, let’s not judge how people dress. Look at what kind of person they are under the fabrics and trinkets.

BLUSH

My mind has something to say even thought it won’t make any connection with my photos. Allow me to share it, just for me to let it out. 

My life has been an up and down roller coaster with a moody weather on it. They were challenges that only few people understand. I had emotional breakdowns that only myself knows. But no matter what endeavors I have and will encounter, I’m always being reminded to be contented and happy. To continue living the life I want to live. People will always have something to say about me me, I can’t stop them. They have their opinions to share in this world. I guess they just misinterpret my personality with my attitude. I can be very endearing and sometimes I get uptight. Most of my friends tells me that I have this strong personality. And some people don’t like it that way.I don’t expect every human being to like. Who I am right now is a product of everything that happened to me. We all judge. Who doesn't? But what important is how you judge yourself. How you recreate yourself from your mistakes. How you stand up in every fall. How you share what you give. How grateful you are with what you have. That’s what matters.

What I love about Sundays besides from giving gratitude to the Heavenly Father is that I get a chance to explore and experiment on sophisticated looks. In my opinion, what we wear in church may also define how we respect our faith, beliefs and also the culture. If we our giving thanks to all the blessings we received might as well dress properly. This again is my opinion.

So last Sunday, I used black, white, gold and orange shades for my look. I personally like the outcome of it. I decided to wear a black and white dress, pair it with a black peep toe heels to continue the flow of the color. I picked out a bag and heels that already has gold touches. Can I just say how I love this orange bag from Michaela. It’s very simple but classy. It’s handy to use because of the light weight materials. And the kind of color orange it has gives life to whatever you will wear. Orange is such a happy color. A perfect color to brighten up your day or an simple look you have. Hi blog! Hi Tumblr world! How I miss typing my thoughts rather than medical terms. I’m still figuring out the work-life balance dilemma. And since that I am not a pants kind of a person, I don’t know how will I dress for my work where I would be able to move freely. Also the word “professional” has to be involve. With all honesty, my closet is a mess, I’m close being a mess and I’m running behind my game plan. Good thing I have Sundays to keep me sane with my outfits. It is the pulse of my blog right now.

Thank you also for the activity called shopping that I can still act like a woman in my life. I recently bought bought new pair of training shoes from Fila. This pair is part of their design, Ultra Light cushion bed collection I've been wearing it ever since I purchased it. My feet are not exerting much effort to carry the shoes. My feet can testify for the comfort. I also love the sea green color for the sole. Most of the styles I have in mind these days are more of a ready to go and run. Just like what I’m wearing here because I am late for my dentist appointment. Summer is near so I thought, I could use prints to compliment the plain colors that I have on me. A bright red lips to give off a classic casual style. 

Crossing my fingers to have more extra time to update my blog more often. I don’t want to put into waste all the ideas I have inside my head. Hope everyone is having a great time on whatever you are doing.

HOT AIR BALLOON FESTIVAL

It has became a commitment for Josh(my love) and I to attend the Hot Air balloon festival in Clark, Pampanga. He has been joining this event since he was in college. Well for the fact that he is an Aeronautical Mechanic and Technician (I love saying his title! It gives me kilig feelings!) Anyways, we were hoping to come early in the morning but I wasn't able to leave my work. But he also suggested to come in the afternoon because there are a lot more activities. When we arrived, the sky was gloomy and threatens the day with a heavy down pour. The people don't mind. We don't mind either. Rain or shine, we might as well enjoy the day!

Even the clouds was gray and a tad of raindrops was falling, the sky was full of flying kite. It made the sky less sad because of it colors. I saw two kids fighting over the kite of who's turn is it to let it fly. The other kid just walked away to avoid any further fights (Good move kiddo!). I want to fly a kite too but I want to walk around and check the airplanes and cars they have for exhibition. I ended up not flying a kite though.

Someday I will ride an airplane with my man driving it. One of our relationship goals. This is my Valentine's Day post. So, there would be some or a lot of cheese balls that you may find weird. Love makes you weird, doesn't it? So does my awkward smile in this picture. Some aircraft company allowed their guests to hop inside the airplane to get more understanding and view of what an airplane looks like.

There were a lot of various booths you can check. From food to clothes to souvenirs. They sell cute hot air balloon key chains and a hot air balloon lantern. We also discovered a worth paying burger store, the Hunger Buster. What I like most about their burger is that they make their own patties. That's a big thumbs up for me because it adds to the originality of the burger. Would you believe me that their burgers only costs 100 pesos? The taste is more than the price. I swear! Check them out in Mercato during Fridays and Saturdays. 

What my eyes and heart has been waiting for! The night glow! Last year, I saw the morning glow. They were both amazing but this one was more special because a Valentine's concert was happening at the same time. A romantic scene to spend with your love ones.

I wanted to wear something with colors that screams festival! I did wear an outfit with colors but it was not such a good idea because as the night grew late it was getting colder too. A big oops on that one. But I still managed thanks to my love who has a jacket. I hope you guys could attend next year. It is worth the day to spend away from the city and unwind. This is the time of the year where we can see the sky full of big hot air balloons. Give it a shot!

Getting addicted to black and white combinations. But it wouldn't be me if I have not added any other color. I decided to use a plum shade for my bag and lipstick which blended pretty good with black and white. I wish I could have used a better camera to show more of the details and produce a more picturesque post. Lesson learned, Annieh. Lesson learned.

Oversize

Hi everyone! I wish everyone had a blast last holidays. It's a week late but I would still like to greet everyone an awesome new year! I think most of us are preparing for the coming summer. I am so excited! Crossing my fingers, hoping that all my plans would push through. So before the summer months come here in the Philippines, we still have January and February to fill. So for my first outfit post for this month, I had it very simple. I stick to two shades, black and white. How basic can those two shades can be, right? 

One of my resolutions is to be more expressive this year.To take more photos of the world and to experience moments universe wants to offer. I'm not dreaming to be a top blogger but I want to be able to inspire other. It sounds cliche but I believe this world can be a better place if we keep on inspiring each others. Everyone has something beautiful to offer. They just don't know it yet.

Candy Plum

The sun decided to come out just the right time our family was hitting the road. We were going to a party on top of a hill. Sounds exciting! Though there wouldn't be a trek happening because the the roads has already been established. Good thing because I'm wearing a pencil skirt and a plum top. Just to add to the adventurous feel, I used my chucks so that I can move freely when taking pictures of the landscape. And a finish of Mac's Candy Yum Yum lipstick to complete the look.
