Well, Tails kept his promise.  He wanted to see how Shadow’s doing anyway after a few days.  With his lookalike Chao on his head, wondering why it was brought along this time, he goes to see the black hedgehog after having arrived in this dimension again.  It doesn’t look like it minds, it least.

Perception is perspective.

Lost in a sketch, the striped male was drawing simple sketches detailed with the utmost effort. Mentally attempting to create things he had never heard of to give himself more of a mental picture. Crimson eyes moved up to look at the other.

“Welcome back, kid. I almost forgot you said you would come back.” Polished rubies moved up to the creature on his head. A gentle tilt to the side he hummed, eyes moving to examine it. “I assume this is a chao?” Now that he noticed it, saw it. He remembered faintly seeing many of these. Especially one that followed the cream colored rabbit.

With a nod he takes the Chao off of his head, in which it just gives him a puzzling look.

“Its name is Tang.  It’s been with me ever since it hatched from an egg I had found a while ago.”

“Chao?  Chao, Chao.  Chaa?”  This is followed by some confused babbling from it.  The ball changed into a question mark.  This probably means that it had never saw a Shadow yet.

“Huh?  Oh, I found it when I was on my way back from visiting one of the Chao Gardens with Tang.  How did you lose it?”  He’s fairly certain that it’s quite unusual for her, or any Amy alternate to lose the hammer.
