The tradition of painting buses in Pakistan date back to more than 9 millennia, back when Neolithic traders carried goods in heavily decorated caravans.  

This style of art has now evolved and appears on the award-winning heavily decorated buses that are used to transport goods across Pakistan. Some claim this tradition started so bus drivers could go on long journeys without feeling homesick.

Each province has it’s own specialty and traditions when it comes to the style of decoration and each bus is hand-painted and features a unique design.

It is my elder brother's birthday today as well.

I haven't had the time to wish him a happy Independence Day, but I still have my blog. Happy birthday, bhai. England can blow a goat.

My people haven't been making this a very good Independence Day for me, but what can you expect with such a nasty rat for a boss I have.

But I am glad my fellow countries, despite our differences, still wish me a happy one.

And that's what's keeping me smiling today.
