I really love Tumblr.

I have been here for just a week yet, but I have found this place so good.. Tumblr doesn't give you "gain follower" stress. You don't even see any followers list on profile. The best part? You come here, say anything & people literally reply, react, interact even if you have only 2 followers!!

It's not like Twitter where you won't get a reply if you don't have a blue tick. It's not like Instagram or Tiktok where you have to put a lot of efforts in getting into people's mind, just so they follow you, like your reel. It's not like Facebook where you will literally see any random cringe stuff on your feed.

And wait, I have not seen a single "AI" thing on Tumblr!! Ahh I love this place so much..

Tumblr is for people who want to feel disconnected from the world for a moment. People who want to breathe freely. It's for the ones who want to enjoy life at a slow pace.

I haven't even explored half of Tumblr yet, but I have found this app so interesting, exactly to my taste. In fact, I have deleted Instagram & Twitter as well, because I have found what I needed.

I met my best friend after months. We walked & talked for around 2 & a half hours. Then he took me to "his" friend's home.. now we were sitting at my friend's friend's home. They were talking to each other about things I don't know. And I felt so left out. I don't know why but that's a red flag for me. 😮‍💨💔

I'm 14 and my birthday is July 7. I'm from European Russia. I'm learning English and want to improve it, so this blog will be in English. Here I will share my daily life and thoughts.

My interests are reading (especially classic literature), learning English, history and art history, drawing, keeping a journal, typology. I spend a lot of time studying so I will also often post here something about study. I like to watch different animes. My favorite title is Hunter x Hunter (I really love it so much). Aand I listen to music a lot. I'm inspired by aesthetics and styles like dark academy, cottagecore, hygge, downtown girl, etc.

So one day I was coming back home after early morning walk. On my way back, I saw this man holding a monkey which was roped. It made me upset. I took this picture secretly as I'm shy in public.

Now let me tell you what's wrong here. The monkey is NOT THE PET here!! The man has SLAVED this monkey!! YES. Some people here catch young animals (sometimes snakes too), abuse them & train them to do whatever they want from them and then they use them to earn MONEY! People like this man, force these animals to dance in front of people who pay. Or they simply go begging home to home & ask for money or whatever.

The most harshest thing? IT IS COMPLETELY NORMAL!! Yes people have normalised this thing (i.e abusing animals & using them for earning money). There are no restrictions neither anyone stops it. Seeing such innocent animals getting abused like this & not being able to do anything – I'm so ashamed of myself. 😢💔

P.S : They don't even give good quality food to monkeys..
