Poem 1 - Ana Roxanne
We're only in May but I'm certain I just listened to one of the most beautiful albums of this year. It's absolutely sublime!

I don't know what I would do if Burial's music didn't exist
Nomad dir. Patrick Tam Kar-Ming (1982)
I watched this film for the first time yesterday and wow… It's amazing and so singular! The way it captures this youth's will to oppose and subvert established order and treats it as an effective driving force toward utopia is so cool. I also love how Patrick Tam emphasizes this chaotic energy by deliberately creating tone discontinuities between scenes. And adding to all that, the very distinctive 80s Hong Kong cinema vibe makes the whole thing even more charming!
Nausea - Grady Steele
I'm stunned...
I finally found the motivation to plan a trip to Milan to go see a Hito Steyerl exhibition and a Rirkrit Tiravanija exhibition. It's gonna be awesome to finally experience their art after years of reading about it ! And also I'm going back to Milan once again which is great because it's such a cool city !
Both exhibitions were GREAT! And I even had the time for a third one that was also great!
Exhibitions I saw :
Rirkrit Tiravanija - The House That Jack Built at Pirelli HangarBicocca
Hito Steyerl - The Island at Fondazione Prada (Osservatorio)
The Second Shadow. Dozie Kanu Mirroring Marc Camille Chaimowicz, with Shared Echoes and Kindred Spirits at Fondazione ICA Milano

Currently reading about atmospheres in architecture.
Small and not very interesting anecdote: I bought Peter Zumthor’s book at the Barcelona Pavilion last year and every time I look at it I think about this building.
Rachel, Rachel dir. Paul Newman (1968)
Such an amazing movie ! Joanne Woodward is exceptional ! Her character might be one of the character I relate to the most out of any movie I've ever seen.

I wish I could live what this music makes me dream of.
Seeing Is Forgetting - Elori Saxl & Henry Solomon
I've been pretty obsessed with this album lately.
"La politique est un conflit de mondes plutôt qu'un conflit de forces. La barricade est l'auto-affirmation d'une communauté d'égaux plutôt qu'un moyen efficace de lutte contre l'ennemi."
Jacques Rancière
Elle est vraiment trop forte !!
I think I will never be able to fully process Alex Webb’s photography. How is it even possible to take pictures like this ? To master light, color, composition and timing to this extent.
Two for the Road dir. Stanley Donen
I love this movie so so so much! Audrey Hepburn was really an absolutely incredible actress.
