I think that in real life…. Relationships r like . Your partner WILL ‘trauma dump’ on you. You will have to perform ‘emotional labor’ for your partner. Your partner will make mistakes. You will also do all of these things. The very nature of love is irrational and problematic and difficult …. To expect a relationship to be free of these things is strange to me…. The point is that your relationship to that person is ultimately worth it, and worth growing with them, helping each other, seeing the worst parts of another person and being able to love them anyway

the same friend that told me they were feeling weird and bad about spending an entire weekend in their apartment alone bc their partner is travelling has cancelled on me three different times in the last week. it just gets to a point

#last weekend they cancelled a ticketed event I drove 3hrs round trip to buy tickets in person for the night before the event #earlier this week they have soft launched the idea of cancelling on going to a festival we have tickets for this fall #which I have since learned that soft launching cancelling should just be treated as cancelling #and yesterday I was supposed to go over to their place that evening to watch tv and they cancelled at 5pm.#and logically I know this isn't about me but I just don't know how not to internalize any of it y'know #also the alone in the apt thing is rich bc that is my default #but I also got almost zero notice that my plans were getting cancelled and so I didn't really get to replace those plans w anything #I'm so tired you guys lmao #my life
