oki guess I do ship things. but I haven’t truly found a ship to like. read fanfiction about since 2020 n i think it’s bc I’ve done too many media analysis studies to engage w fictional characters on a parasocial(?) level the way I used to. Like those aren’t real people those are characters somebody wrote this. Like I’m thinking too much about the production of the media. Basically I can’t get attached to characters the same way anymore bc I recognize that they aren’t people with agency but rather their ‘actions’ are actually decisions made by the auteur in order to develop a narrative
