Kinda late to the party but I really got hooked on this beautiful game! I was never really into getting platinum trophies with my games but this one's an exception. Gonna tinker with the photo mode after the update next week! #HorizonZeroDawn #Aloy #GuerillaGames #Playstation #ps4 #Sony
Upcoming Blockbusters of 2017
The summer blockbusters are coming and they’re coming in fast! In the past few weeks, we’ve been treated to a host of new trailers as the studios are trying their darnedest to get the movie-going public’s support (i.e. cash). If you think last year’s line-up was great, 2017 bloodies and powerbombs it for the three count. But it’s not just the summer season though, the whole year is chock-full of those loud and flashy films we’ve all come to expect from Hollywood. The first quarter alone saw the release of Logan, Kong: Skull Island and the live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. So please, allow me to enumerate these tentpole films I’m all so excited about.
First up, April sees the release of The Fate of the Furious, though I highly doubt that it’s going to beat the earnings of it’s predecessor, the franchise already has it’s fair share of fans and it’s still gonna rake in the dollars before the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in May. Yes, the lovable gang is back and so is their brand of humor and hopefully the great soundtrack (plus there’s the really cute Baby Groot). May is a tough one though as it also has Alien: Covenant and the return of Capt. Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales opening in back to back weeks. Will the zany captain still be able to work it’s magic in the box office? We’ll see.
The first week of June comes DC’s highly anticipated Wonder Woman with the very lovely Gal Gadot. Here’s hoping this’ll launch the trend of more films starring superhero women. The reboot of the The Mummy starring Tom Cruise follows a week after and it looks vastly different from the original. Michael Bay’s explosive (pun intended) Transformers: The Last Knight rounds up the big names for the month.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in July and is the first full Spider-man film after Sony loaned the character to the MCU. Here’s hoping it will be more successful than the two Amazing Spider-man films. In between The Mummy and Transformers: The Last Knight are animated films such as Pixar’s Cars 3 and the adorable kids and minions of Despicable Me 3. Meanwhile, Ceasar’s back in War for the Planet of the Apes and continues his fight against humans.
From August up until the end of the year are potential hits like Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets , Blade Runner 2049 and sequels, Annabelle: Creation and Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Of course my list wouldn’t be complete without these big guns as well. November will have Thor: Ragnarok that also stars fan-favorite Hulk.
Another film that comicbook fans worldwide have been looking forward to and much debated on since it’s announcement is Justice League as Batman and Wonder Woman tries to assemble a superteam to take on Steppennwolf and the parademons. Superman may not be in the trailers but it’s a given he’ll be there. How he will come back should be epic! Also wondering who will be the seventh member? Hoping it’s a Green Lantern. Jessica Cruz anyone?
Lastly, there’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi which I really thought won’t come out until 2018 as Star Wars films usually has a three year gap between releases. This marks the return of Luke Skywalker and it’s very likely that we’ll find out who Rey’s parents were, akin to The Empire Strikes Back. Expecting great lightsaber battles.
Well there’s my list of anticipated blockbuster films for 2017, we’ll know in time which of these would bomb or be monstrous hits . This year’s line-up is as diverse as ever so even if you’re not into big-budget films, choices are plenty and you’ll find one or two of your liking. One thing’s for certain though, 2017 is an awesome year for movies!

Finally got to watch #batmanvsuperman. It's worth it. Never mind the critics and the haters. #latepost
$424.1 million and counting: Batman v Superman bludgeons the box office! The reports are in and it's very good news for Warner Brothers. With the hammering the film received from critics, BvS fought back and won the all-important box office. Stateside, the film has amassed an estimated $170.1m and another $254m internationally bringing in a massive cume of $424.1m on opening weekend. According to various sources, the film now holds the biggest pre-summer opening of all time in the US, shattering the record previously held by The Hunger Games by $20 million. It has also set an Easter weekend record by beating out last year’s champ, Furious 7 and is now Warner Brothers biggest opening, narrowly beating Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The film now holds the biggest opening for 2016 eclipsing Deadpool. That's a hell of a lot of records and there's more. Internationally, Batman v Superman now holds the biggest overseas debut of all time for a superhero movie (yes, that includes Marvel films) and with the aforementioned $424.1m global tally, it is one of the biggest worldwide debut weeks ever, behind only Harry Potter 7.2 ($484m), Jurassic World ($524m), and Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($529m). With relatively weak box office competition in the next few weeks , they will have majority of the box office dollars all for themselves even with the expected decline on it's succeeding weekends. This definitely bodes well for the future of the DCEU. Next up, Suicide Squad.
1 week after the debut of the Captain America: Civil War trailer, we now have new footage for DC's Batman v Superman and word is a new trailer will be released soon. Wow, talk about duking it out! Isn't it a grand time to be fans of both? Enough of this Marvel vs. DC crap. I love 'em all! #captainamericacivilwar #batmanvsuperman #marvelvsdc #marveldcfansunite #stopthefanwars

According to TechRadar, the Xperia Z5 Premium is finally available for sale...after months of eating Playsatation 4′s dust, the XBox One has outsold them in October, at least in the US. Many thanks to Master Chief...
I watched Spectre last weekend. I kinda liked it but still think Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation was better...especially with almost the same plot... looking forward to seeing the last installment of the Hunger Games next week though.
Watched the Philippine Azkals vs. Yemen last night...what a disappointment. They were the aggressor but was still scored upon late in the game...on another note, hopefully I would be able to watch Ronda Rousey’s match on Sunday even on a delayed telecast.
It’s been like a tradition every year that come Christmas time, Filipinos would look forward to what ABS-CBN’s Christmas Station ID offering will be. For many, it’s the indication that Christmas is indeed right around the corner. As for me, I just always liked the songs.
Wow, it’s been a long time since I opened my account. Anyway, this is my drawing of Janella Salvador. She’s such a cutie!
